A Phase II Study of Pertuzumab and Erlotinib for Metastatic or Unresectable Neuroendocrine Tumors

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To determine objective response rates (RR) by RECIST guideline version 1.1 for all patients treated with this strategy consisting of initial therapy with pertuzumab as a single agent and then addition of erlotinib for those who have stable disease or progressive disease at three months (Simon design).

NCT ID: NCT00946283 Terminated - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Lactobacillus in Preventing Infection in Patients Undergoing a Donor Stem Cell Transplant for Hematologic Cancer or Myelodysplastic Syndrome

Start date: March 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Probiotics, such as Lactobacillus, may be effective in preventing infections in patients with suppressed immune systems. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and how well giving enteral nutrition, including Lactobacillus, works in preventing infections in patients undergoing donor stem cell transplant for hematologic cancer or myelodysplastic syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT00900068 Terminated - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Blood Samples From Patients on a Clinical Trial to CINV During HSCT

Start date: August 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Studying samples of blood in the laboratory from patients with cancer may help doctors learn more about nausea and vomiting caused by cancer treatment. PURPOSE: This laboratory study is looking at blood samples from patients with cancer who were treated on a clinical trial to control nausea and vomiting during donor stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00813501 Terminated - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Immunologic Diagnostic Blood Test in Predicting Side-Effects in Patients Undergoing a Donor Stem Cell Transplant for Hematologic Cancer or Other Diseases

Start date: June 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Studying a diagnostic biomarker test in blood samples from patients who have undergone a donor stem cell transplant for cancer may help doctors plan treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying an immunologic diagnostic blood test to see how well it works in predicting side-effects in patients with hematologic cancer or other disorders who have undergone a donor stem cell transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00808899 Terminated - Neuroblastoma Clinical Trials

Neuroblastoma Protocol 2008: Therapy for Children With Advanced Stage High Risk Neuroblastoma

Start date: December 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A Phase II study of temsirolimus in combination with standard chemotherapy (irinotecan; cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and etoposide (CAE); cisplatin and etoposide (HiPE) and topotecan (TPT) followed by and additional six courses of induction chemotherapy and then intensification with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The first five courses of induction chemotherapy will also evaluate the feasibility of combining weekly temsirolimus with these standard chemotherapy combinations. This will be followed by 16 months of oral maintenance therapy with eight months of 13-cis-retinoic acid and then eight months of oral topotecan.

NCT ID: NCT00801931 Terminated - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Double Cord Blood Transplant for Patients With Malignant and Non-malignant Disorders

Start date: September 6, 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and toxicity and feasibility of double umbilical cord blood transplantation (DUCBT) in patients with selected malignant and non-malignant, and to quantify the percentage and donor sources of mixed donor chimerism following DUCBT in patients with selected malignant and non-malignant disorders.

NCT ID: NCT00788125 Terminated - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Dasatinib, Ifosfamide, Carboplatin, and Etoposide in Treating Young Patients With Metastatic or Recurrent Malignant Solid Tumors

Start date: September 3, 2008
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs in chemotherapy, such as ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving dasatinib together with ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of dasatinib when given together with ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide and to see how well they work in treating young patients with metastatic or recurrent malignant solid tumors.

NCT ID: NCT00698009 Terminated - Neuroblastoma Clinical Trials

Haploidentical Natural Killer (NK) Cells in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Neuroblastoma

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Primary: Evaluate safety, feasibility, persistence, and anti-tumor effect of infused haploidentical donor-derived natural killer (NK) cells and low-dose interleukin-2 (IL-2). Secondary: - Quantification of cytokine levels; - Assessment of NK cell immunophenotype and function.

NCT ID: NCT00670410 Terminated - Neuroblastoma Clinical Trials

Autologous Transplant Followed by Allogeneic Transplant for High Risk Neuroblastoma

Start date: November 2003
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor of the sympathetic nervous system. It is the second most common malignant tumor of childhood. Although modest advances have been made over the past 20 years children with high-risk neuroblastoma continue to have an unsatisfactory long-term survival. This study will administer induction chemotherapy followed by high-dose (myeloablative) chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation, followed by radiation therapy, then immunotherapy with a non myeloablative allogeneic stem cell transplant for treatment of neuroblastoma. The purpose of this clinical research trial is to study the feasibility of giving immunotherapy with a non-myeloablative allogeneic transplant (NAT/AlloSCT), following myeloablative therapy and autologous stem cell transplant (MAT/AutoSCT). This study will also determine the side effects as well as the response rate for each group of patients (treatment arm).

NCT ID: NCT00651716 Terminated - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

T Cells in Predicting Acute Graft-Versus-Host Disease in Patients Undergoing Donor Stem Cell Transplant

Start date: December 2006
Phase:
Study type: Observational

RATIONALE: Studying samples of blood from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors predict whether patients undergoing donor stem cell transplant will develop acute graft-versus-host disease. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying T cells to see how well they help in predicting acute graft-versus-host disease in patients undergoing donor stem cell transplant.
