Filter by:Data from 26 patients undergoing resection of Pancreatic Metastases and extra-Pancreatic Metastases from RCC were retrospectively analysed. Clinical data were collected from a digital database and QoL was assessed through patient's interview and Karnofsky performance scale.
This is an open-label, exploratory study to evaluate nivolumab with or without ipilimumab based on percentage of tumoral CD8 cells at the time of treatment in participants with varying advanced solid tumors. Participants who have a tumor with ≥ 15% CD8 cells (classified as CD8 high) will receive nivolumab monotherapy, and participants who have a tumor with < 15% CD8 cells (classified as CD8 low) will receive ipilimumab in combination with nivolumab.
The study will use an Ommaya reservoir that drains into brain metastases to deliver activated, autolous dendritic cells to the tumor lesion, for patients who are 18 - 75 years old who have brain metastases from either lung cancer or breast cancer. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of administering DCVax-Direct to patients with metastatic tumors in the brain. The secondary objectives are to determine tumor response, the rate of intracranial recurrence (IR), the rate of neurologic deaths, decline in neuro-cognitive functioning and overall survival. Approximately 10 patients with injectable metastatic brain tumors will be enrolled initially in a dose escalation scheme, with the expectation to enroll a total of 24 patients.
Pain negatively affects the quality of life of adolescents with cancer (AWC). It can also represent a high cost to the healthcare system and families. In response, our team has built a smartphone-based app, called Pain Squad+, which can give AWC real-time advice to manage their pain. The app uses pain diaries and personalized pain advice plus support from a registered nurse to give real-time pain management in all settings. This study will look at the impact of Pain Squad+, with or without the nurse support, on AWC health quality and healthcare costs over time.

This is a non-randomized, phase II, open label study of anlotinib hydrochloride capsules in recurrent/metastatic adenocarcinomas of head and neck. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of anlotinib.

Colorectal cancer screening showed an increased incidence of malignant colorectal polyps pT1 after endoscopic excision. Their management is not yet standardized, for the presence of histological features increasing early lymph node involvement. The literature has proposed several histopathological criteria, for which the risk of lymph node metastasis can vary (6-20%), but final data are not yet available. Aim 1.To collect data about patients undergoing an endoscopic polypectomy with histologic finding of pT1, retrospectively and prospectively, dividing both databases into two groups, endoscopic group (EG) and surgical group (SG) Aim 2. To analyze retrospectively which pathological criteria can increase the risk of lymph node metastasis and to elaborate a prognostic score for lymph node metastatic risk Aim 3. To verify prospectively the prognostic score capacity on predicting lymph node metastasis Aim 4. To calculate the disease free survival, overall survival, local recurrence rate and distal recurrence rate and verify if there is a difference between EG and SG According to literature, the most important histopathological criteria to establish the high risk of lymph node metastasis are: 1. Lateral margin of healthy tissue (high risk: <1mm and piecemeal polypectomy) 2. Depth of submucosa invasion (high risk: >1000 μM or sm2-sm3 for sessile polyps; Haggitt level 4 for pedunculated polyps) 3. Vascular invasion (high risk: presence) 4. Lymphatic invasion (high risk: presence) 5. Tumor budding (high risk: presence) 6. Tumor differentiation (high risk: grade G3-G4 or mucinous) A database will be used by all participating centres for collecting clinical and pathological data. All the analyses will be centralized by the PI. Uni-multivariate analyses will be conducted at the end of data collection for retrospective arm and at 2 years of follow-up for prospective arm. Impact: This study aimed to investigate pathological risk factors for lymph node metastasis in pT1 colorectal polyps after endoscopic polypectomy; their accurate identification could lead to improve their management, avoiding useless complementary surgery. Results could change clinical practice and reduce health-related costs.
This study will attempt to determine the efficacy of checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab combination therapy followed by nivolumab monotherapy in patients with metastatic prostate cancer and other tumor solid tumor histologies harboring loss of CDK12 function as well as monotherapy nivolumab treatment in patient with metastatic prostate cancer harboring loss of CDK12 function.
