Hydrocodone Compared to Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen for Post-nail Procedure Analgesia

Start date: November 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of ropivacaine and hydrocodone for nail-procedure associated pain management. The investigators hypothesize that ropivacaine with hydrocodone will be superior to ropivacaine with acetaminophen and ibuprofen for managing pain.

NCT ID: NCT05482763 Active, not recruiting - Onychomycosis Clinical Trials

Mycosis Culture Collection From Dermatological Isolated

MYCDERM
Start date: July 20, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This pilot, prospective, observational drug study aims to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability and safety of topical and oral antifungals in the treatment of onychomycosis caused by yeasts, dermatophytic moulds and non-dermatophytic moulds as well as correlate the scores in the MALDI-TOF method for the 'identification of genus and species of higher fungi utilizing the comparison between identification in direct optical microscopy, culture examination and optical microscopy and macroscopic and onychoscopic clinical aspects. Furthermore, an optional substudy will evaluate the drug resistance of clinical isolates using molecular or genetic methods.

NCT ID: NCT04941807 Completed - Nail Diseases Clinical Trials

Use of Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy in Patients With Brittle Nail Syndrome

Start date: March 4, 2021
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of platelet-rich plasma therapy for brittle nail syndrome

NCT ID: NCT04422795 Withdrawn - Nail Diseases Clinical Trials

The Evaluation of External Thermomechanical Stimulation for Pain Reduction in Patients Undergoing Nail Injection

Start date: February 2024
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of a thermomechanical device delivering vibration and cold stimuli in lowering pain during intramatricial nail injections

NCT ID: NCT04384679 Withdrawn - Nail Diseases Clinical Trials

Benefit of Topical Hemostatic Powder Containing Hydrophilic Polymer With Potassium Ferrate for Hemostasis Following Nail Surgery

Start date: June 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of topical hemostatic powder containing hydrophilic polymer with potassium ferrate for bleeding control after nail surgical procedures

NCT ID: NCT04092413 Not yet recruiting - Nail Diseases Clinical Trials

Subclinical Nail Involvement in Relevant Skin Diseases

Start date: November 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Onychopathies constitute one of the major challenges faced by a dermatologist in terms of its early detection and diagnosis . Many disorders can affect the nails, including deformity and dystrophy, infections, and ingrown toenails. Infections can involve any part of the nail and may or may not change the nail's appearance. Most nail infections are fungal (onychomycosis), but bacterial and viral infections occur .

NCT ID: NCT03991936 Completed - Nail Psoriasis Clinical Trials

Benefit of Placebo and Different Concentrations of Triamcinolone Acetonide in Nail Psoriasis

Start date: March 11, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This purpose of this study is to determine the lowest effective concentration of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide in the treatment of nail psoriasis.

NCT ID: NCT03263624 Not yet recruiting - Nail Psoriasis Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Combined Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser and Topical Tazarotene in the Treatment of Psoriatic Nail Disease

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Nail psoriasis has a high incidence amongst patients with psoriasis. It is estimated to affect 80% of psoriatic patients at some time during their lives and has a significant adverse influence on their quality of life. Treatment of nail psoriasis is disappointing, as it is refractory to treatment, with conventional therapies often having little effect.

NCT ID: NCT01330706 Completed - Skin Diseases Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Intraoperative Surgical Scrubbing in Reducing Bacterial Load After Nail Removal Surgery

ribebeva
Start date: February 2010
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The investigators conducted a controlled, prospective randomized study to examine the antiseptic efficacy of intraoperative irrigation methods during nail avulsion surgery.

NCT ID: NCT00925418 Completed - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Cryotherapy in the Prevention of Nails Toxicity Induced by Taxotere® in Breast or Prostate Cancer

CRYO1
Start date: September 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Taxotere® can induce nails changes like dyschromia, hematoma, lines of Beau-Reil (signing the stop of the epithelial proliferation), abscess, or pain. In this context, this randomized, monocentric phase III trial evaluates the cryotherapy, using frozen glove, in the prevention of nails toxicity induced by Taxotere® in patient treated for breast or prostate cancer. Primary objective: Demonstrate a reduction of the nails toxicity using frozen glove during chemotherapy with Taxotere®. Secondary objectives: Analysis of time of protection against onycholysis Estimation of the efficiency of cryotherapy, and impact on quality of life Tolerance and compliance of the frozen glove
