View clinical trials related to Myocardial Infarction (MI).
Filter by:This is an observational study based on secondary data extracted from multiple register-based data sources in the US and Europe (Sweden, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany). The study will include patients initiating treatment with ticagrelor 60 mg after a myocardial infarction in real-world clinical practice, and describe their patient characteristics and duration of treatment. If the a priori threshold of 5,000 person-years on treatment with ticagrelor 60 mg is met, outcome events (bleeding and cardiovascular events) will also be analysed and described.
The purpose of the Patient and Provider Assessment of Lipid Management Registry (PALM) is to gain a better understanding of physicians' cholesterol medication prescribing practices, patient and physician attitudes and beliefs related to cholesterol management, and current utilization of cholesterol-lowering therapies given the new ACC/AHA guideline recommendations. The PALM Registry hopes to allow for the design of ways to improve cholesterol management and decrease the burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the US.
The OPTIMISE study is a prospective, multi-center, multi-national, structured data collection initiative, first compiling data on the current treatment of post myocardial infarction patients (screening-log) and then, prospectively evaluating only those patients being prescribed Omacor as part of their standard secondary prevention treatment. The aim is to observe the Omacor cohort of patients for a period of 12 months, collecting long term observational data as clinical and patient-reported outcomes, especially, but not exclusively, recurrent non fatal Myocardial Infarction (MI), sudden death, or new Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). No predefined additional visits, medical tests, labs, procedures or interventions will be mandated. Only results from routinely performed tests, labs, procedures and/or interventions will be collected if available.
OBJECTIVE It is the objective of the REMEDEE OCT study to assess vascular healing after deployment of the Abluminal Sirolimus Coated Bio-Engineered Stent (Combo Bio-Engineered Sirolimus Eluting Stent) in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) with single de novo native coronary artery lesions ranging in diameter from ≥2.5 mm to ≤3.5 mm and ≤ 20 mm in length. STUDY DESIGN The REMEDEE OCT study is a prospective, multicenter, randomized study designed to enroll 60 patients with ACS who will be randomized 1:1 to be treated with the Combo stent versus the commercially available everolimus eluting stent (Xience V or Promus). Patients will receive Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Quatitative Coronary Angiography (QCA) follow-up imaging at 60 days post procedure. Clinical follow-up is scheduled at 30, 60, 180, 360 and 540 days. Furthermore, QCA and OCT will also be performed at baseline in all participants of the study.
