NCT ID: NCT00594308 Terminated - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

In-Vivo Activated T-Cell Depletion to Prevent GVHD

Start date: October 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects (good and bad) of the medication basiliximab in combination with cyclosporine with cyclosporine alone for the prevention of graft-versus-host disease. This research is being done because there is no completely safe and effective prevention for graft-versus-host disease. It is known that cyclosporine helps with GVHD but we would like to know if the addition of basiliximab will decrease the incidence and/or severity of GVHD after a transplant known as nonmyeloablative ("mini" transplant).

NCT ID: NCT00593554 Terminated - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Phase 2 Haplotype Mismatched HSCT in Patients With Hematological Malignancies

Start date: August 7, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if haplotype-mismatched HSCT is associated with an improvement in treatment-related mortality (TRM) rate at 6 months.

NCT ID: NCT00580242 Completed - Myelodysplasia Clinical Trials

A Phase 1 Dose Escalating Trial of Bortezomib in Combination With Lenalidomide in Patients With Myelodysplasia

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study proposes using bortezomib in cohorts of 3-6 patients at the doses of 0.7, 1, and 1.3 mg/m2 on days 1, 4, 8, and 11 to determine the MTD in combination with lenalidomide 10 mg a day, for 21 days of a 28 day treatment cycle for patients with myelodysplastic syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT00580034 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Allo Non-Myeloablative SCT Utilizing Mis-Matched Family Member Stem Cells Purged Using Campath

Start date: February 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Allogeneic transplantation is used to treat many malignant and non-malignant diseases, though the potential toxicities of the procedure remain high. We and others have shown that a less toxic preparative regimen allows reliable allogeneic engraftment for allogeneic transplantation. The primary purpose of this treatment trial is to follow patients undergoing allogeneic transplantation for long term outcomes. The regimen used has been tested in our prior phase I / II trial which has completed accrual. The issues of engraftment and rate of graft versus host disease have been answered and our success has led to this regimen being a standard approach for less toxic allogeneic therapy.

NCT ID: NCT00578942 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Allo Non-myeloablative SCT Utilizing Matched Family Member Stem Cells Purged Using Campath

Start date: May 2005
Phase: Phase 2

NCT ID: NCT00516152 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Phase II Study Evaluating Busulfan and Fludarabine as Preparative Therapy in Adults With Hematopoietic Disorders Undergoing MUD SCT

Start date: November 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of performing unrelated stem cell transplants using intravenous busulfan and fludarabine as preparative therapy and tacrolimus plus methotrexate as the GVHD prophylaxis regimen. The goal is to demonstrate safety, aiming for a transplant related mortality rate (TRM) of < or equal to 40% at 100 days. A TRM of > or equal to 60% will be considered unacceptable. Another goal is to demonstrate efficacy by showing and overall survival of >40% at 1-year following transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00514722 Terminated - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Pilot Study of Umbilical Cord Blood Transplantation in Adult Patient With Advanced Hematopoietic Malignancies

Start date: October 2002
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a pilot study designed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of performing umbilical cord blood transplants in adults with high-risk hematopoietic malignancies. A novel myeloablative preparative regimen will be used. One, up to a maximum of three cord blood units will be administered to facilitate engraftment.

NCT ID: NCT00513318 Terminated - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Pilot Study of Reduced-Intensity Umbilical Cord Blood Transplantation in Adult Patients Wtih Advanced Hematopoietic Malignancies

Start date: August 2004
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This is a pilot study designed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of performing umbilical cord blood transplants in older adults or younger infirm patients with high-risk hematopoeitic malignancies. A novel reduced-intensity preparative regimen for umbilical cord blood transplantation will be used. One to a maximum of three cord blood units, depending on cell count, will be administered to facilitate engraftment. Ten patients will be enrolled with an expected accrual rate of 3-4 patients per year and with a goal of completing accrual within 2-3 years.

NCT ID: NCT00513175 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Non-Myeloablative Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation With Matched Unrelated Donors for Treatment of Hematologic Malignancies, Renal Cell Carcinoma, and Aplastic Anemia

Start date: October 2001
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of this study is to examine transplant related mortality (TRM) at 100 days <30%. A TRM of >50% is considered unacceptable. This study also seeks a TRM at 12 months that is <50%, engraftment >90% (defined as donor cells >80% at 6 months), and 1 year overall survival >50%.

NCT ID: NCT00511537 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Unrelated Stem Cell Transplantation for Adults With Hematopoietic Disorders

Start date: January 1999
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study performs HLA matched stem cell transplantation from unrelated donors in adults who require stem cell transplantation but do not have a matched related donor available. The incidence of graft-versus-host disease in unrelated stem cell transplantation is recorded. This study also monitors the activity and toxicity of total body irradiation and cyclosphosphamide followed by stem cell transplantation from matched unrelated donors.
