NCT ID: NCT00704951 Withdrawn - Mycoses Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Treatment and Prophylaxis of Invasive Fungal Infections in Immuncompromised Patients in Austria (Study P05532)(WITHDRAWN)

Start date: July 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this program is to determine the frequency of the use of Posaconazole in immunocompromised patients refractory to first line therapy receiving therapeutic treatment based on different pathogens in comparison to other antifungal therapy. A further objective is to determine the frequency of the use of Posaconazole in immunocompromised patients receiving prophylactic treatment in comparison to other antifungal prophylaxis.

NCT ID: NCT00430469 Withdrawn - Fungal Infection Clinical Trials

Safety of hLF1-11 for the Treatment of Infectious Complications Among HSCT Recipients

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The safety and tolerability of hLF 1-11 given in multiple doses has to be established first in HSCT recipients who are at risk of developing, but have not yet developed, infectious complications due to invasive fungal or bacterial disease. These patients are different from healthy volunteers because they have received myeloablative treatment, which not only arrests haematopoiesis resulting in neutropenia but also induces mucosal barrier injury both of which predispose to infections, which typically occur during the week after transplant. It is therefore essential to know that hLF 1-11 is safe and well tolerated when given during neutropenia and mucosal barrier injury before infections ensue.

NCT ID: NCT00226993 Withdrawn - Mycosis Fungoides Clinical Trials

Phase I/II Study of Intratumoral Injection of CPG 7909, a TLR9 Agonist, Combined With Local Radiation for Patients With Recurrent Mycosis Fungoides.

Start date: March 2005
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a single institution phase I / II trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intratumoral CpG injections combined with local radiation in patients with mycosis fungoides. Patients will receive low-dose radiotherapy to a single tumor site on days 1 and 2 (2 Gy each day). CpG injections will be administered into the same tumor site within 24 hours before or 24 hours after each radiation treatment. Weekly doses of (intratumoral or peritumoral injections) CpG will be then administered subcutaneously in the region of previous injections for 23 additional doses. The total treatment duration is 24 weeks.
