Filter by:To explore the effect of smart app and wearable-based lifestyle intervention management on vascular health, comparing different exercise with the improvement of vascular arterial stiffness. The accuracy and consistency evaluation of smart wearable devices in screening for vascular health risks were also discussed.
The intervention involved two groups participating in supervised Pilates sessions, twice a week for 8 weeks, featuring a mix of mat and props-based exercises. Group 1 received additional cueing training to enhance alignment, muscle engagement, and movement technique, while Group 2 underwent the same Pilates regimen without this cueing component.
The interoception capacity may be changed with mind-body intervention. This study case investigated the interoceptive capacity, measured by MAIA scale of a pacient with mood disorders and if it can be influenced through of a 7 weeks intervention of interoceptive exercises and the impaction in the patient´s daily life. The aim was analyse the effects of mind-body exercise program with interoceptive approach in the anxiety and depression symptoms, interoceptive capacity, as well your impact in paitient's daily activities. M.S is 47 years old, was forwarded from University Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho to extension project named as "corpo&mente" (body-mind), an anamnesis was performed including patient's life story, interoceptive scale, anxiety and depression scale from Hamilton and a risk stratification to realize physical activities (it was also performed post-intervention). The exercise program lasted 1h 15 min and it was performed once a week.
This study is to determine how 8-week Tai Chi intervention alters plasma endocannabinoid and its receptors in monocytes/marcrophages, plasma oxylipinds, plasma brain-derived neurotrophic factor, brain white matter connectivity/efficiency, and functional/clinical outcomes in women with knee OA.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is widely found in central and peripheral systems, and the immune system. Moderate-intensity aerobic exercise has shown to increase circulatory endocannabinoids. In this study, we will study Tai Chi, a mind-body moderate-intensity exercise, intervention for its effects on ECS in women. A pre-post design trial will be conducted on 18 qualified subjects. We will measure plasma eCB levels at baseline, before and after 4th session of Tai Chi. All data will be analyzed statistically at p<0.05.
