The COVID-19 Pandemic is the characterizing worldwide wellbeing emergency within recent memory. Since its development in Asia before the end of last year, the infection has spread to each mainland with the exception of Antarctica. Countries are dashing to moderate the spread of the illness by testing and treating patients, completing contact following, restricting travel, isolating residents, and dropping huge social occasions like games, shows, and educational institutes. As almost every institution was closed for the safety of human kind. All educational institutes were also closed for any kind of education. Also, In Pakistan all educational institutes were closed since march 2020. It was impossible to keep educational activities closed for long. In order to keep educational activities in working e-learning was introduced through out the world. As many other countries Pakistan also started e-learning for all students.
As health actors, medical students educate patients to have regular medical follow-up and give them justified medical prescriptions. Regarding their own health, medical students do not seem to apply these same principles. The medical follow-up of medical students seems insufficient, which can be explained by the lack of medical follow-up by occupational medicine, a consequent work time, but also the fear of judgment by colleagues Moreover, medical student have an easy access to all types of prescriptions and therefore the ease of self-prescription and self-medication. Medical students may also overestimate their medical knowledge and may not be objective about their symptomatology.
The investigators would like to evaluate how well pre-clinical medical students are able to perform a basic transthoracic echocardiography examination on a healthy volunteer using a hand-held ultrasound (HHU) after completing a flipped classroom echocardiography training methods which consist of pre-training e-learning, hands-on training, and competency assessment after the hands-on training.
