Reasonable nutritional management can improve the nutritional status of patients, reduce the risk of malnutrition, shorten the length of ICU stay, improve the quality of life of patients, and reduce the mortality of patients, thereby improving the prognosis. Many studies have investigated the nutritional status and implementation of ICU patients. It is generally believed that the nutritional status of ICU patients is not good, and the implementation of standardization needs to be improved.The data on the nutritional status and implementation of RICU patients in mainland China is rare. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation and compliance of nutritional support treatment for RICU patients in mainland China.
This study used Mini Nutrition Assessment (MNA) , Nutrition risk screening 2002(NRS-2002) and Non-motor Symptom Quest (NMSquest) to investigate the nutritional status of patients with Parkinson's disease, to analyze the correlation between non-motor symptoms and malnutrition in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) , and to provide evidence for clinical treatment and early nutritional intervention.
The investigators will evaluate the effects of higher protein/amino acid dosing (≥2.2 g/kg/d) vs usual care of protein/amino acid dosing (≤1.2 g/kg/d) over muscle mass in nutritionally high risk ill patients
This study is to compare the sustained post-discharge nutritional support to reach individual energy and protein goals to usual care home nutrition in medical patients at nutritional risk.
Background. Decreased taste and smell contribute to loss of appetite (anorexia), and the resulting protein-energy malnutrition increases the frailty of the elderly. The risk of falls, disability, infections and depression often requires them to be institutionalized. Elderly, undernourished and toothless patients often complain about the monotony of a soft, mixed-texture diet. In a previous study, some participants highlighted the pleasure of crunching cookies that have a solid texture that can be eaten in any dental condition. However, the age-related decrease in hearing (presbyacusis) is frequent and progressive from the age of 60. The hypothesis of this work is that older patients may perceive a crunchy food crunching in their mouth, despite presbycusis. If the hypothesis is verified, this would make geriatric caregivers aware of the possibility of diversifying the texture of food, in order to stimulate the pleasure of eating and increase the dietary intake in this population of patients who are often undernourished, dysphagic, edentulous and hearing impaired. The originality of this study is to share the expertise of geriatricians and specialists in mastication/swallowing (dental surgeon, speech-language pathologist), hearing (ENT doctor, hearing care professional) and nutrition (dietician). Type of study. Type of study MR-004 "Research not involving the human person". Protocol. Compare the noise and pleasure of crunching between two hyperprotein nutritional supplements: a soft filled cookie (Nutra Cake™, Délical, France) and a crunchy cookie of the Breton type (Protibis™, Solidages, France). Blind study impossible: each subject will eat a cookie then the other in a random order and will be his own control. The tests will be performed without the possible hearing aids, but with or without the dentures according to the patient's preference. Indeed, some patients have dental prostheses that are no longer suitable for chewing, and that they wear only for aesthetics. Objective. Validate the evaluation criteria "Do you hear the biscuit crunch?" and "Is it a pleasure?" If so, encourage diversification with crunchy foods with a suitable texture, as well as dental and prosthetic rehabilitation of dependent elderly people.

Hospital Food service is important for patient recovery by providing necessary aid with adequate meal consumption. Overall, hospital experience can influence patients' satisfaction for the foodservice quality. Thus, it is important to evaluate patient satisfaction with food service to meet consumers' needs in order to prevent malnutrition. The aim of the studies is to develop the Malaysian geriatric patients' hospital foodservice protocol (My GERYFS). There are 3 Phases in this research which is phase 1 is a multicentre cohort study conducted among elderly and healthcare professionals involved in Klang Valley Hospitals. Phase 2 for To develop a tailor-made hospital foodservice protocol for Malaysian geriatric patients with healthcare professional input and phase 3 is to determine the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of MY GERYFS protocol in a Malaysian hospital. Effectiveness of this study protocol can bring benefits to elderly to prevent malnutrition in the hospitals via foodservice.
This single center, open-label, randomized controlled clinical trial was designed to investigate whether early nutritional intervention with oral nutrition supplements in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma undergoing chemoradiotherapy will improve nutritional status, quality of life and treatment tolerance.
The premise of this trial is that a combined nutrition (eggs) and parenting behavior intervention (responsive parenting combined with the reinforcement of animal source foods and improved WASH) will synergistically result in improved child growth, development, and reduced enteric disease outcomes over and above a nutrition only intervention and standard well baby care. This study is a 3-arm longitudinal randomized controlled trial (RCT) to compare the following groups for effectiveness in reducing young child stunted growth and enhancing overall development:1) standard well-baby care, (n=200); 2) nutrition intervention (one egg per day for 6 months), (n=200); and 3) multicomponent Grandi Byen intervention (responsive parenting, nutrition, hygiene + one egg per day for 6 months), (n=200). Infants will be enrolled between 6-8 months of age and followed longitudinally for one year.
