Acceptability and Persistence of the Use of a Patient-centred E-health Tool for Lupus Patients Followed in a Specialised Centre in France

e-LUPUS
Start date: March 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex disease whose evaluation in daily practice and clinical research requires consideration of several aspects, in particular disease activity and quality of life. Health systems are increasingly using Patient Reported Outcome measures (PRO) data to measure different dimensions of the disease and its experience. In addition, there is a growing number of "e-health" tools for patients. Indeed, the collection of health-related data via an electronic system makes it possible to modernise and facilitate communication between patients and doctors within the framework of medical follow-up and therapeutic education. Nevertheless, very few studies measure the acceptability and effective long-term use of such tools, particularly in the context of SLE. The Sanoïa patient platform is a digital tool already used in therapeutic areas similar to SLE (discoid lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis), offering a guarantee of safety and a reduced individual cost. The availability of this health-related quality of life data collection tool via a site and a mobile application adapted to patients with SLE should: - Facilitate the collection by patients of their quality of life as part of their routine follow-up (patient access) - Limit the impact of patients' clinical profiles on the frequency of the collection of quality of life data - Enable internal medicine specialists to systematically use their patients' quality of life data during consultation (physician access). This study therefore proposes to evaluate this digital platform within the framework of SLE by measuring the distribution of access by physicians according to the data reported by patients and according to the characteristics of the facilities where the subjects were recruited for the study. These data will allow us to evaluate the influence of factors extrinsic to patients on the adoption of the tool. This area has been very poorly evaluated in the few studies that have focused on the adoption of such tools.

NCT ID: NCT03186794 Terminated - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Aerobic Exercise in Women With Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Start date: February 22, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background: As many as 1.5 million Americans are living with systemic lupus erythematosus (Lupus). Lupus makes people very tired. It also makes it hard for people to be physically active. Studies have shown that aerobic exercise training helps people with heart or lung illnesses be less tired and more active. Researchers want to use an exercise training program on people with Lupus to see if it has the same results. Objectives: To find out if aerobic exercise helps people with Lupus be less tired and more active. Eligibility: Women ages 21-80 who have Lupus and are not physically active. Design: Participants will be screened with a medical history and physical exam. They will have heart and lung tests, as well as blood and urine tests. They will also answer questions about their quality of life and take a test that measures lupus activity. The study will last 14-16 weeks. For the first two study visits, participants will do treadmill exercise tests and answer more quality of life questions. For these treadmill tests, participants will wear sensors, a mask, or a mouthpiece while they exercise. Participants will then begin exercise training, 3 times a week for 12 weeks. At each of these visits, they will walk very fast for 30 minutes on a track or a treadmill. Each visit will last about 1 hour. At the halfway point of the study, participants will repeat some of the screening tests. This visit will last about 3 hours. At the end of the study, participants will repeat the screening tests. They will also repeat the treadmill exercise tests.

NCT ID: NCT01389895 Terminated - Lupus Clinical Trials

Safety Study of AMG 557 in Subjects With Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus

Start date: October 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will be a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple dose study in which approximately 24 subjects with SCLE will be enrolled. Cohort 1 will consist of 12 subjects (6 AMG 557: 6 placebo) randomized to receive AMG 557 210 mg or matching placebo. Cohort 2 will consist of 12 subjects (6 AMG 557: 6 placebo) randomized to receive AMG 557 140 mg or matching placebo. Enrollment of Cohort 2 (140 mg) will be initiated after enrollment of Cohort 1 (210 mg) is completed.

NCT ID: NCT01164917 Terminated - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Safety Study of AMG 811 in Subjects With Discoid Lupus Erythematosus

Start date: August 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-period, crossover study in which approximately 20 subjects with Discoid Lupus Erythematosus will be enrolled to receive AMG 811 and placebo in one of two sequences (ie, AMG 811 followed by placebo or placebo followed by AMG 811).
