NCT ID: NCT04061759 Completed - Clinical trials for Lumbar Disc Herniation

Physiotherapy in Lumbar Disc Pathologies

Start date: September 2, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of four physical therapy treatment approaches for lumbar region pathologies. Eighty volunteers who have back pain will be included in the study. Subjects will be randomly divided into four groups; Group 1: Soft tissue mobilisation techniques and stabilization exercises (n=20), Group 2: Kinesiotape and stabilization exercise (n=20), Group 3: Stabilization exercises (n=20), Group 4: Reflexology and stabilization exercises (n=20).

NCT ID: NCT04042844 Recruiting - Lumbar Disc Disease Clinical Trials

A Single Dose of BRTX 100 for Patients With Chronic Lumbar Disc Disease (cLDD)

Start date: June 30, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a double-blind, saline-controlled, and randomized study with blinded assessments using a single dose. Subjects that have a current diagnosis of chronic lumbar disc disease and meet eligibility criteria will be enrolled. Chronic lumbar disc disease is defined as back and/or radicular pain with degeneration of the disc confirmed by patient history, physical examination, and radiographic measures such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), plain film, myelography, discography, or other acceptable means.

NCT ID: NCT04015791 Not yet recruiting - Lumbar Disc Disease Clinical Trials

NOCISCAN-Lumbar Spine (LS) Clinical Evaluation Study

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A prospective, double blinded, multi-center study to assess the validity and clinical utility of the pre-operative NOCISCAN-LS software in the identification of painful lumbar discs, and the correlation with improved surgical outcomes at 3, 6, 12 and 24 months (follow-up) following spine surgery in a single enrollment arm of subjects with chronic symptomatic single level degenerative disc disease (DDD) at L3 to S1, but with two evaluation groups- Match Group and Miss Group,of subjects based on the association between the NOCISCORE results of treated and untreated disc levels.

NCT ID: NCT03977961 Completed - Clinical trials for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

The Six-Minute Walking Test (6MWT) as a Measure of Functional Impairment in Lumbar Degenerate Disc Disease.

6MWT-DDD
Start date: May 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study determines the reliability and validity of the 6-Minute Walking Test (6MWT) in patients with lumbar degenerative disc disease (DDD).

NCT ID: NCT03840928 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

PatientSpot Formerly Known as ArthritisPower

Start date: April 1, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Patient Power is a patient research network and database (registry) to collect prospective information about demographics, self-reported diagnoses and medications, and willingness to participate in research from participants with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), other musculoskeletal conditions, chronic neurological conditions like migraine, chronic pulmonary conditions like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, autoimmune dermatological conditions such as psoriasis, and other chronic inflammatory or immune-mediated conditions. In addition, since patients with chronic conditions often have other co-morbidities like cardiovascular health and obesity-related metabolic disorders, these conditions will also be included. Participants will provide information from their smartphones or personal computers. The information will be used by researchers and clinicians to help patients and their providers make better, more informed decisions about treatment of chronic conditions.

NCT ID: NCT03745040 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

Liposomal Bupivacaine in One-level Instrumented Posterior Spinal Fusion

Start date: January 26, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study will describe postoperative pain management for spine surgery patients receiving liposomal bupivacaine (Exparel®) compared to patients not receiving the drug.

NCT ID: NCT03733626 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Degenerative Disc Disease

Clinical Outcomes Associated With the Use of ViviGen® for the Treatment of Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease

ViviGen
Start date: March 19, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to perform a prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial to compare radiographic fusion rates and patient reported outcomes, including pain and function preoperatively and postoperatively, using Depuy ViviGen® Cellular Bone Matrix mixed with cortical/cancellous allograft in conjunction with an approved Depuy Synthes pedicle screw system compared to autograft mixed with cortical/cancellous allograft in conjunction with the same DePuy Synthes pedicle screw system used for a one or two - level posterolateral lumbar fusion.

NCT ID: NCT03060434 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Lumbar Disc Herniation

Pentoxifylline and Lumbar Radiculopathy

Start date: June 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this prospective controlled crossover study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pentoxifylline per os (800 mg daily) in the management of lumbar radiculopathy

NCT ID: NCT02971540 Completed - Lumbar Disc Disease Clinical Trials

SPI-directed Analgesia for Lumbar Discectomy

SPI
Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this randomized trial is to assess the efficacy of analgesia for lumbar discectomy and compare Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) with Surgical Pleth Index (SPI) for monitoring pain perception postoperatively. Patients received either preemptive local tissue infiltration at surgical site using either 0,2% ropivacaine with fentanyl or 0,2% bupivacaine with fenthanyl or preemptive intravenous infusion using metamizole and tramadol.
