This national study included patients from six sites in Denmark who received intensive chemotherapy on programmed CADD Solis infusion pumps through a central venous catheter and were also managed as outpatients during treatment-induced pancytopenia.

A Trial of the Safety and Immunogenicity of the COVID-19 Vaccine (mRNA-1273) in Participants With Hematologic Malignancies and Various Regimens of Immunosuppression, and in Participants With Solid Tumors on PD1/PDL1 Inhibitor Therapy

Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a viral infection. It has spread rapidly across the globe. It has overwhelmed health systems. Researchers are concerned that it may undo years of progress in the reduction of cancer-specific death. They want to test a vaccine that might protect people with cancer from COVID-19. Objective: To test the safety and efficacy of a vaccine using messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA)-1273 that may protect people with cancer from COVID-19. Eligibility: Adults ages 18 and older who have a solid tumor or blood cancer and who may benefit from a vaccine that might prepare their immune system for fighting and preventing infection from COVID-19. Patients with solid tumors must be receiving treatment with an immunotherapy agent. Design: Participants will be screened with a medical history, medicine review, and physical exam. They will have blood tests. They will have a pregnancy test if needed. Participants will get 2 doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine if they have not been vaccinated already. It will be injected into a muscle in the arm on Days 1 and 29. They will be followed for 12 months after the second dose. Participants will have study visits at the Clinical Center on Days 1, 29, 36,57, 209, and 394. Some visits will last about 4-6 hours. Patients will be able to get up to 3 doses of mRNA-1273 as a booster on trial if they have already completed a primary series of a vaccine. Participants who have already received a booster dose of vaccine will be able to enroll to receive additional boosters. It will be injected into a muscle in the arm on Day 1. Participants will be followed for 12 months after their last booster injection. Participants who receive booster doses will have study visits at the Clinical Center on Days 1, 29, 57, 180 and 360. Participants will give blood and saliva samples for research. Participation will last about 16 months.

Phase I/II Study of Enhanced CD33 CAR T Cells in Subjects With Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

This is a open-label, nonramdominzed, single-arm, Phase I/II Study to evaluate safety and tolerability of functionally enhanced CD33 CAR-T cells in subjects with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. 25 subjects will be enrolled. Subjects will be pretreated with chemotherapy prior to infusion of CAR T cells: about 5 days before cells transfusion, the patients who planned to reinfuse CAR T cells were treated with fluorodarabine 30 mg/m^2( body surface area) and cyclophosphamide 250 mg/m^2( body surface area) for 3 days. Then the Bayesian optimal interval phase I/II (Boin12) trial design will be used in this study: The protocol preset 2 dose levels: Dose 1 (DL-1) was 5×10^5 (±20%) CAR T cells/kg, and dose 2 (DL-2) was 1×10^6 (±20%) CAR T cells/kg. Phase I was the dose exploration phase. After determining the optimal biological dose (OBD), phase II will be expanded at the OBD dose by 10 cases, enrollment will reach 25 cases, and the trial will be discontinued. Moreover, the first 3 enrolled subjects per dose group will be on one by one dosing regimen. The expected initial dose of 5×10^5 (±20%) CAR T cells/kg could not be achieved due to preparation problems and should be placed in the reduced dose group. The number of cells will be collected by the above regimen as far as possible. If this is not possible, subjects can still enter the study upon investigator consideration but require documentation of dosing. The lowest dose is 1×10^5 CAR T cells/kg (±20%), and the highest dose is 1×10^6 CAR T cells/kg (±20%). If the dose is out of the range mentioned above, entry into the trial will not be considered.

There are studies in the literature that include parent training for the prevention and care of mucositis. Many national and international organizations have emphasized the responsibility of the nurse in patient education and stated it in the relevant laws and regulations. The regulations focus on the educative role of the nurse for patients. In pediatric oncology clinics where leukaemia treatment and care is provided, the educational role of the nurse is directed towards the child individual and their family, and determining and meeting the educational needs of the whole family is vital in the nursing management of the child with cancer. In this context, this study aims to examine the effect of mucositis care training to caregivers of pediatric patients aged 2 to 18 years, on the development of mucositis and the clinic's "mucosal barrier damage, laboratory-confirmed bloodstream infections".

Study of Oral Venetoclax Tablets to Evaluate Adverse Events and Change in Disease Activity in Participants of Any Age With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is an aggressive and rare cancer of myeloid cells (a white blood cell responsible for fighting infections) and is the most common acute leukemia in adults. This study will assess how safe and effective oral venetoclax is in participants with AML. Adverse events and change in disease activity will be monitored under routine clinical practice. Venetoclax is an approved drug to treat Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Around 400 participants of any age who are treated with oral venetoclax tablets for AML in accordance with the approved label will be enrolled in the study across Japan. Participants will be followed up to 52 weeks following the first dose of oral venetoclax tablets. There is expected to be no additional burden for participants in this study. Data will be collected by information provided by participating physicians based on routine medical records.
