Filter by:This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of second-line treatment of bortezomib in advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma patients.Half of participants will receive bortezomib while the other half will receive best supporting care.
Unsatisfactory immediate outcomes of Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) in surgery of cholangiocarcinoma suggested that patients with biliary cancer should not be treated by ALPPS. Short-term results of ALPPS variants with reduced surgical trauma on the first stage in patients with cholangiocarcinoma were not yet estimated. The objective of the study was estimation of the short-term results of split-in-situ resection with radio-frequency ablation (RFA) instead of liver partition on the first stage (RALPPS) in patients with hilar (h-CCA) and intrahepatic (i-CCA) cholangiocarcinoma compared with portal vein embolization (PVE).
The purpose of this study is to explore the efficacy and safety of second-line treatment of apatinib in advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma patients and evaluate drug safety, progression free and overall survival. The primary endpoint of this study is objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR) and progression-free survival (PFS).
This Phase II, open-label, single-arm study evaluated the anti-cancer activity of derazantinib in subjects with inoperable or advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) who received at least one prior regimen of systemic therapy. Patients received an oral once-daily total dose of 300 mg derazantinib capsules.
This study will evaluate two groups of patients who have intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Each group will receive induction treatment with Cisplatin and Gemcitabine per SOC for 4 treatment cycles. Following induction treatment patients will be randomize (1:1), to 2 arms of treatment. One group (50%) will be receive high dose chemotherapy delivered specifically to the liver, while the other group (50%) will continue treatment with Cisplatin and Gemcitabine. Patient in each group will get repeating cycles of treatment until the cancer advances. All patients will be followed until death. This study will compare the overall survival (OS) in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
Compare the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy with Cisplatin or Carboplatin and Gemcitabine versus Gemcitabine in patients with resected or ablated intra-hepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
This pilot trial studies how well single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed tomography (CT) with technetium Tc-99m sulfur colloid works in measuring liver function in patients with liver cancer that has or has not spread to other place in the body who are undergoing radiation therapy or surgery. Diagnostic procedures, such as sulfur colloid SPECT/CT scans, may measure normal liver tissue before, during and after treatment and help doctors plan better treatment for liver cancer patients.
Diagnosis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA) is increasingly common in patients with liver cirrhosis, but these patients are denied liver transplantation (LT) by most centres due to historically poor results. Two retrospective evaluations have shown a 5 year survival ~65% in selected patients with an iCCA diagnosis at the pathology of the explanted liver. This suggests that LT can be a curative treatment if applied selectively. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of LT as a treatment for very early iCCA diagnosed in cirrhotic patients who meet the strict selection criteria. Patients with advanced cirrhosis (not candidates for resection) currently have no other curative treatment options. Participants will be allowed bridging therapies prior to receiving transplant. Participants will be followed for 5 years from the time of transplant with patient survival and disease recurrence as outcome measures.
This phase II trial studies nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with rare tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. The study will evaluate the benefit of applying Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) using SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres prior to receiving systemic chemotherapy treatment (cisplatin-gemcitabine, or CIS-GEM) in patients with unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Half of the patients will be randomized to CIS-GEM chemotherapy plus SIRT, and half of the patients will be randomized to CIS-GEM alone.
