NCT ID: NCT01323387 Completed - Clinical trials for Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease

Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease Treated With Anterior Tension Band System (ATB) With ALIF/FRA Spacer

ATB
Start date: April 1, 2004
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Multi-center, prospective nonrandomized study of treatment for 1 and 2 level degenerative disc disease between L2 and S1. Patients will be followed for a minimum of 2 years. The primary objective of this study to measure fusion success in patients with lumbar degenerative disc disease using the ATB and ALIF/FRA Spacer. The Secondary objective is evaluation of the patient's quality of life, pain and function.

NCT ID: NCT01290367 Completed - Clinical trials for Degenerative Disc Disease

Safety and Preliminary Efficacy Study of Mesenchymal Precursor Cells (MPCs) in Subjects With Lumbar Back Pain

Start date: August 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare two doses of immunoselected, culture-expanded, nucleated, allogeneic adult MPCs when combined with hyaluronic acid to two control intradiscal injections in subjects with chronic low back pain due to moderate Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) at one lumbar level from L1 to S1. All investigational subjects in this study will undergo injection of either 6 million (M) or 18M cells in a hyaluronic acid carrier into the degenerated lumbar disc's nucleus pulposus. All control subjects will undergo an intradiscal control injection with either saline or hyaluronic acid only

Satellite™ PEEK Nucleus Replacement Retrospective Analysis

Start date: April 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The Satellite™ Retrospective Analysis is an international, retrospective, multi-center, non-interventional post-marketing study designed to document and analyze existing data with the device in a "real-world" setting. The purpose of this study is to evaluate number of adverse device effects (ADEs), serious adverse device effects (SADEs) and serious adverse event (SAEs) and early clinical effectiveness for the Satellite™ Nucleus Replacement in a standard clinical practice. Data collection will include information on health related quality of life (QoL), physical functioning and adverse event after nucleus replacement surgery. Radiographic measures will also be assessed to evaluate changes in disc height at the operated level and changes in segmental range of motion. All patients who were implanted with a Satellite™ Nucleus Replacement Prosthesis in the participating sites are eligible for participation in the Satellite ™ Retrospective Analysis.
