NCT ID: NCT06424886 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

The Effect of Different Instruction Trainings in Semi-Professional Female Athletes

Start date: January 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Feedback is implanted into workouts to prevent lower extremity injuries. There are different studies where external focus and internal focus feedback were found to be superior. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of training on vertical jump landing technique by comparing a verbal training group that receives instructions with an external focus of attention and an internal focus of attention combined, a visual training group with video instructions, and a control group in female athletes with knee valgus. It is also to examine whether possible beneficial results are still present in the retention test performed one week after the test session. The secondary aim of our study is to examine the effect of the training provided on knee joint position sense.

NCT ID: NCT06136299 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Neuromuscular Training in Female Youth Soccer

NMT
Start date: December 7, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to analyze the effectiveness of an NMT-based, injury prevention training program ('FIFA 11+ for Kids') in pre-adolescent (Ages 8 to 11) elite female soccer players by measuring neuromuscular control and motor coordination through pre-intervention and post-intervention testing. As well as monitoring the incidence of injury throughout a soccer season.

NCT ID: NCT06017154 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Acute Effect of Motor-Cognitive Training

Start date: September 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Participants will complete a functional MRI to evaluate brain activation, functional connectivity, and behavioral performance immediately before and after a training program (approximately 30 minutes). The training program will comprise of integrate neuromuscular (agility, dynamic postural stability, shuffling, rapid acceleration/deceleration, plyometrics, lateral shuffle, and core stability) and cognitive (reaction time, processing speed, task switching, decision-making, and working memory) challenges.

NCT ID: NCT05757518 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Post-exercise Recovery of DOMS in Recreational Athletes

Start date: January 16, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main goal of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cryo-sauna in preventing the development of DOMS in the lower extremity. The second goal is to analyze the rate of regenerative changes in the right muscles after acute fatigue-induced exercises.

NCT ID: NCT05552430 Completed - Injuries Clinical Trials

Virtual Reality for Pain in Acute Orthopedic Injuries

Start date: October 17, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to pilot test a skills-based virtual reality (VR) for acute orthopedic injury. It will measure the feasibility, signals of improvement, exploratory pain mechanisms, and user experience of an established skills-based program (RelieveVRx) for acute orthopedic injury.

NCT ID: NCT05459363 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Neuromuscular Cognitive Training

I-THINC
Start date: August 23, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This project will utilize a quasi-experimental, multiple baseline pretest-posttest design where participants will complete postural stability assessments, physical performance assessments, and questionnaires to evaluate perceptions toward injury prevention before and after completing a 6-week neuromuscular-cognitive prevention program.

NCT ID: NCT05256186 Completed - Clinical trials for Sports Physical Therapy

Effectiveness of Basketball Pre-injury Attack Program to Reduce the Susceptibility of Injury in Youth Basketball Players

DPL2
Start date: June 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Basketball is an impact, coordination-opposition sport with continuous contact among players and it is considered a sport of medium-high injury incidence. Players are force to have a physical condition appropriate to their practice and the demand to which they must respond due to the intensity of the efforts this sport requires. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to establish an evaluation protocol that allows the detection of functional deficiencies, to guide and conduct in a specific and early way every moment of players' health and growth. The purpose of this study is to design, apply and analyze the effectiveness of a specific and individualized therapeutic exercise program (Basketball Pre-injury Attack) based on the approach of the functional deficiencies detected by the Basketball Injury Defense, to reduce the susceptibility to injury of youth basketball players (U14 - U17).

NCT ID: NCT05111457 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Injuries in Swedish Padel

Start date: November 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this project is to investigate the injury panorama of acute and overuse injuries in women and men who regularly participate padel. The intention is to provide insights on injury prevalence, injury location, injury consequences, gender differences and risk factors . This study will be conducted as a retrospective cohort study where the participants consist of female and male padle players, both at the recreational and competition level, with at least 6 months' experience in the sport. The information from this project can be valuable in the work of identifying risk factors for padle injuries and injury prevention strategies.

NCT ID: NCT05030896 Completed - Injury;Sports Clinical Trials

Ultrasound-guided Percutaneous Electrolysis in Female Soccer With Soleus Injury

Start date: September 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates if the physiotherapy treatment based on combination of therapeutic exercise program and ultrasound-guided PNE on chronic soleous injuries may cause changes in pain, dorsal flexion of the ankle and muscle fatigue in female dance

NCT ID: NCT04796753 Completed - Clinical trials for Musculoskeletal Injury

Detection of Neuromuscular Deficits in Uninjured Youth Basketball Players

DPL
Start date: October 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Basketball is an impact, coordination-opposition sport with continuous contact among players and it is considered a sport of medium-high injury incidence. Players are force to have a physical condition appropriate to their practice and the demand to which they must respond due to the intensity of the efforts this sport requires. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to establish an evaluation protocol that allows the detection of functional deficiencies, to guide and conduct in a specific and early way every moment of players' health and growth. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and detect federated youth basketball players' (U12 - U17) neuromuscular deficiencies in mobility, stability and landing technique in static and dynamic situations to simulate all the most important actions of basketball demands.
