The researchers are doing this study to find out whether emapalumab or a combination of fludarabine and dexamethasone are effective in preparing people with a primary immune regulatory disorder (PIRD) and/or an autoinflammatory condition to receive a stem cell transplant. The researchers will look at how well the study treatments reduce inflammation and aid in the engraftment process (the process of donated stem cells traveling to the bone marrow, where they begin to make new immune cells. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the ability of placental angiogenesis markers to predict the risk of PE in pregnancy in women with primary APS. To construct reference intervals of placental angiogenesis markers specific to women affected by primary APS in pregnancy by measuring the levels of sFlt-1and PlGF in serum maternal serum and their sFlt-1/PlGF ratio during the trimesters of gestation (I TM, II TM and III TM). For this aim the study will involve recruiting two groups of subjects, one will be cases and one will be controls.

Despite deep knowledge of their specific disorders, steps are required to improve overall management of their acute and chronic conditions. The main objective of the study is to identify demographic, clinical, laboratory and radiological markers of disease severity and activity in patients with diseases treated at general medicine wards (respiratory disease, immune-mediated disease, sepsis, metabolic disease, rare disease, frailty, pregnancy pathology) in order to improve their diagnosis, monitoring and treatment processes.

Efficacy and Safety of Android Artificial Pancreas System in Adult Patients With Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus in China

This is a 26-week randomized, free-living, open-label, two-arm, two-phase, crossover trial. Participants will receive two interventions at different phases, including the Android artificial pancreas system(AndroidAPS-rt-CGM) and sensor-augment pump(SAP), and use marketed rapid-acting insulin analogs (insulin Aspart, insulin Lispro, or insulin Glulisine) normally used in their usual clinical care. The safety and efficacy of AndroidAPS-rt-CGM and SAP in adult T1DM with suboptimal glycemic control will be compared to explore whether the use of AndroidAPS-rt-CGM in adult T1DM with suboptimal glycemic control will be associated with better glycemic control with no increased hypoglycemia.

Effect of Stellate Ganglion Block on ME/CFS

The goal of this clinical trial is to study the effects of stellate ganglion block (SGB) in participants with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). The main questions it aims to answer are: Does SGB treatment improve symptoms of ME/CFS (e.g. brain fog, fatigue)? Do changes in symptoms go along with changes in blood or saliva? Participants will receive a total of six blocks over three weeks (one block on each side, one day apart, per week). Prior to treatment and at two points following treatment, participants will complete surveys, take a cognitive (puzzle type) test, and provide blood and saliva for analysis. Participants will measure their heart rate daily using a free smart phone app.

Impact of Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention on Immunity Against Malaria Among Children in Northern Benin

This study aims to evaluate the effects of SMC (Seasonal malaria chemoprevention) with Sulfadoxine-Pyrimethamine (SP) and Amodiaquine (AQ) on the evolution of anti-malarial immunity of children and their susceptibility to malarial infection. This is a cross-sectional study on children aged 6 to 59 months with/without SMC in two villages in northern Benin. Sociodemographic and clinical data as well as repeated blood samples will be collected from 440 children (before, during and after treatment). Samples will be analyzed using a Luminex assay to investigate antibody responses to MSP (merozoite surface protein) , Glurp (Glutamate-Rich Protein) and a panel of PfEMP1. qPCR (quantitative polymerase chain reaction) will be used to detect the prevalence of malaria at this period and parasites infecting children will be characterize during the follow up.

Next-generation Effects of Vitamin D Supplementation in Pregnancy

This study aims to investigate if maternal vitamin D intake of 90 vs 10 µg affects the overall health, growth, and immune system of the offspring at birth and after 1 year. Blood samples at birth and after one year, questionnaires and clinical 1-year examination will be performed on the children.
