NCT ID: NCT03292484 Completed - Peanut Allergy Clinical Trials

Longer-term Study of AR101 in Subjects Who Participated in a Prior AR101 Study (ARC008)

Start date: October 11, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess AR101's safety, tolerability and efficacy over an extended dosing period.

NCT ID: NCT03288831 Completed - Celiac Disease Clinical Trials

Changes in Intestinal Permeability 4 Hours After Gluten Challenge

Start date: October 10, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates why people with celiac disease and non-celiac gluten/wheat sensitivity develop rapid onset symptoms within hours of gluten exposure. Half of subjects will be given gluten and half will not.

NCT ID: NCT03285360 Completed - Clinical trials for Tooth Hypersensitivity

Effectiveness of Bioactiveglass Air Abrasion Versus Fluoride Varnish in Management of Dentin Hypersensitivity

Start date: October 1, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Will the use of Bioactive glass with air abrasion technology (Sylc) compared to Fluoride Varnish (Biflourid 10) affects the degree of pain in patients complaining from hypersensitivity due to non-carious lesions?

NCT ID: NCT03284372 Completed - Food Allergy Clinical Trials

Safer Food Allergy Management for Adolescents

Start date: January 18, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Among the 15 million people with food allergies in the U.S., adolescents experience the highest risk of adverse events. Yet, there are few evidence-based strategies to improve food allergy management in adolescents. In a cohort multiple randomized controlled trial, this study will include two experiments to test the effectiveness of text message reminders and incentives to encourage epinephrine-carrying.

NCT ID: NCT03279003 Completed - Sensitive Skin Clinical Trials

Study of the Efficacy and Tolerance of Light Therapy in Sensitive Skin

SENSILED
Start date: June 22, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Light-emitting diode (LED) light therapy is increasingly used successfully and without adverse effects in diabetic leg ulcer, chronic low back pain, chronic myofacial pain in the neck and in several dermatoses such as acne, Psoriasis, alopecia areata and skin rejuvenation. A Korean study conducted in 2013 suggested its effectiveness in patients with sensitive skin in connection with rosacea, acne, eczema. The objective of the study is to perform a study in subjects with a sensitive skin without associated dermatosis.

NCT ID: NCT03268720 Completed - Gluten Sensitivity Clinical Trials

Influence of the Immunosystem in Non-celiac Glutensensitivity

NCGS
Start date: April 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients with non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) complain about gastrointestinal and extraintestinal symptoms while consuming gluten-containing cereals. The symptoms strictly correlate with ingestion of gluten-containing cereals and disappear quickly under elimination diets. Till now, there are no specific markers to diagnose NCGS. This study aims to determine the effect of a low FODMAP diet (fermentable oligo-, di- and monosaccharides and polyols) and a glutenfree diet on the mucosal immunity, clinical symptoms, and psychological well-being. Furthermore, the influence of the diets on the microbiome will be analyzed.

NCT ID: NCT03267030 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Asparaginase Encapsulated in Erythrocytes for Patients With ALL and Hypersensitivity to PEG-asparaginase

Start date: August 23, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Pegylated-asparaginase (PEG-ASP) is an important part of the treatment of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Unfortunately 13% of patients develops allergy and further treatment is impossible. Furthermore, 6% of patients have developed antibodies (silent inactivation) and have no effect of the PEG-ASP treatment. Truncated asparaginase therapy is associated with inferior event-free survival outcomes, in particular relapse in central nervous system (CNS). Eryaspase is a new formulation of asparaginase encapsulated in erythrocytes. The erythrocyte membrane protects asparaginase against fast degradation and elimination processes. The encapsulation eliminates the direct somatic contact, and it is hypothesized that this provides the potential to prolong the activity of the enzyme and reduce toxicities.

NCT ID: NCT03251157 Completed - Asthma Clinical Trials

Dietary Intake in Adults From the GA2LEN Folow-up Survey

Start date: January 1, 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The Nutrition Study of the GA2LEN Follow-Survey was designed to investigate the association between usual dietary intake and allergic and respiratory outcomes in adults across Europe. Within this framework, a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) was designed to ascertain usual dietary intake of 250 food items, which was translated into the languages of the participant centres. Information on daily intake of foods, nutrients, and flavonoids was derived.

NCT ID: NCT03244618 Completed - Dentin Sensitivity Clinical Trials

A Study to Measure the Efficacy of a Toothpaste on Dentinal Hypersensitivity

Start date: June 19, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Double blind parallel study to measure the efficacy of a toothpaste containing calcium-silicate/phosphate on dentinal hypersensitivity compared to a control toothpaste containing fluoride

NCT ID: NCT03238352 Completed - Dentin Sensitivity Clinical Trials

A Study to Assess Efficacy of an Experimental Oral Rinse in Providing Long Term Relief From Dentinal Hypersensitivity

Start date: August 7, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To investigate the efficacy of an experimental oral rinse, containing 1.5% potassium oxalate (KOX) and 0 parts per million (ppm) fluoride in relieving dentine hypersensitivity (DH) after 8 weeks use compared with a placebo oral rinse and a commercialized fluoride oral rinse.
