NCT ID: NCT00351923 Completed - Measles Clinical Trials

Immunogenicity/Safety of Measles-Mumps-Rubella-Varicella Vaccine (MeMuRu-OKA): Using Two Different Administration Routes

Start date: March 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will compare the immunogenicity and safety of the MeMuRu-OKA vaccine administered subcutaneously or using an alternative administration route.

NCT ID: NCT00322231 Completed - Herpes Zoster Clinical Trials

A Study of an Investigational Zoster Vaccine, in Subjects With a History of Herpes Zoster (V211-014)

Start date: May 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the investigational zoster vaccine, is generally well tolerated when administered to participants with a history of herpes zoster.

NCT ID: NCT00305357 Completed - Clinical trials for Post-Herpetic Neuralgia

Evolution of Pain From Herpes Zoster

Start date: November 2001
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Evolution of pain and neural injury will be evaluated at 2 years or longer after the onset of AHZ by multiple measures. Assessments at 2 years or longer will be compared to those collected during the first 6 months after HZ in order to test whether or not sensory function and cutaneous innervation continues to normalize beyond 6 months in subjects who recover from HZ without severe PHN.

NCT ID: NCT00300222 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Study of NGX-4010 for the Treatment of Postherpetic Neuralgia

Start date: March 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to assess the efficacy and safety of NGX-4010 applied for 60 minutes for the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN).

NCT ID: NCT00233155 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Study of NGX-4010 for the Treatment of Painful HIV-Associated Neuropathy (HIV-AN) or Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN)

Start date: August 2005
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of NGX-4010 administered at intervals of no less than 12 weeks over 1 year, based on the presence or return of pain, for the treatment of painful HIV-AN and PHN. Participation is limited to former study subjects from previous trials of NGX-4010 at selected sites.

NCT ID: NCT00231816 Completed - Herpes Zoster Clinical Trials

A Study of an Investigational Zoster Vaccine in Subjects With a History of Varicella (Chickenpox) Given Concomitantly With Another Vaccine (V211-011)

Start date: September 2005
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the investigational zoster vaccine has a comparable immune response (the body's ability to protect against disease) and safety profile when given concomitantly with another vaccine.

NCT ID: NCT00226499 Completed - Varicella Clinical Trials

Evaluate Vaccine Against Chickenpox and a Combined Vaccine Against 4 Viral Childhood Diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Chickenpox

Start date: September 1, 2005
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

An observer-blind study to evaluate GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' live attenuated varicella vaccine and GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' combined measles-mumps-rubella-varicella vaccine in the prevention of varicella disease in children. The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, Sep 2007.

NCT ID: NCT00213304 Completed - Immunosuppression Clinical Trials

The Safety of Oka Varicella in Children Prior to Solid Organ Transplantation

Start date: June 1999
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study sought to determine the safety of the varicella vaccine pre- and post-transplantation when given to pediatric patients listed for solid organ transplantation. The study assessed the antibody response to a two-dose vaccine regimen and determined the durability of that antibody response at several intervals in the post-transplant period. As a secondary objective, the relationship between antibody titers and different variables were explored

NCT ID: NCT00209352 Completed - Clinical trials for VZV Infection After Bone Marrow Transplantation

Long-Term Oral Acyclovir Usage to Prevent Herpes Zoster Virus Infection After Bone Marrow Transplant

Start date: June 1985
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to prevent reactivation of herpes zoster during the first year after transplant.

NCT ID: NCT00130793 Completed - Herpes Zoster Clinical Trials

A Study to Evaluate Safety, Tolerability, and Immunogenicity of an Investigational Zoster Vaccine In Subjects With a History of Varicella (Chickenpox)(V211-010)(COMPLETED)

Start date: August 2005
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the refrigerator-stable formulation of an investigational vaccine has a comparable immune response (the body's ability to protect against disease) and safety profile to that of the freezer-stable formulation of the vaccine.
