The purpose of this study is to compare the play based therapy and functional communication training in speech-language delayed children 2-6 years old. This study will highlight the most effective intervention or therapy for Speech & Language Delayed Children. The Randomized clinical trial study will be conducted in clinic, sehat medical complex, with children who will have the diagnosis of speech and language delay. These individual will be diagnose by a speech therapist (more than 2 years experience in the field) with PORTAGE guide to early education . A group of children will be given play based therapy and the other group of children will be given functional communication training. Participants' assessments of SLD will be made using the Portage Guide to Early Education. It will take three months of sessions 5 days in a week, lasting 20 to 30 minutes. The Progress of both therapies will be seen and assessed through structured questionnaire that which technique is more effective. The individual will be assess through Speech Questionnaire on base line and after 3 months session program.
Seek the simple tool as questionnaire for screening hearing loss. The FMHT was developed by American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). It is a standard hearing questionnaire. So, we plan to translate the FMHT into Cambodian language and validate by comparing its result with those of audiometry.

In this study, the investigators describe the postural balance evolution before and after hearing aid fitting in presbycusis-affected adults (55-80years old) consulting Angers University Hospital ENT department and ENT Medical Doctor of Le Mans .
The purpose of this study is to evaluate, via a randomised controlled design, the efficacy of the robotic insertion of cochlear implant, versus manual insertion. Robotic insertion will be performed using Robotol. This is a three years interventional study involving adults with profound bilateral hearing loss. Eligible subjects will be randomized in two groups : robotic insertion, or manual insertion. Each patient will be followed during 12 months.
Background: Deafness is one of the nine potentially modifiable risk factors for dementia simulated by the Lancet dementia Prevention, intervention and Care Committee in 2017. Some studies have found that the risk factors of dementia in deafness system, with the increase of the degree of deafness, the risk of cognitive decline increases, while after long-term wear of hearing aids, the deterioration of immediate and delayed memory is less, and the possibility of cognitive decline slows down. Therefore, it is necessary for us to improve the auditory ability of patients with deafness through auditory intervention, so as to slow down its effect on dementia and reduce the incidence of dementia. At present, auditory intervention methods include hearing aid wearing and cochlear implant. However, there are few studies on cognitive function of presbycusis patients in China, and there is no research on how many years of auditory intervention can effectively slow down the incidence of dementia in presbycusis patients with MCI. Therefore, we intend to conduct a prospective cohort study on the changes of cognitive function of presbycusis under hearing aid intervention.
New discoveries for hearing loss intervention are often impeded by the proprietary nature of commercial hearing aids and their use in scientific research as "black boxes". An open-source speech platform (OSP) was developed to bridge the gap between audiology research and commercial hearing aid features, to promote innovative solutions to meet the needs of the hearing loss community. The OSP can replicate functions found in commercial hearing aids, and provides tools to researchers to access those functions. The purpose of this study is to evaluate portable and cloud-based platforms of the OSP that will enable a wide range of lab and field applications. All human subjects-related activities will be conducted at Northwestern University (single-site study).
The goal of this study is to learn about how hearing loss impacts balance intervention outcomes and risk of falling in older adults. The main questions it aims to answer are: - How does the evidence-based A Matter of Balance (AMOB) program affect older adults' falls risk and balance-related measures? - Is the severity of someone's hearing loss related to their balance intervention (AMOB) outcomes? Participants will: - Complete a hearing and balance test - Answer some questions about their background and health history, their thoughts about potential falls and how this impacts them, and their current physical activity level - Participate in the A Matter of Balance Program, an evidence-based program that includes group discussion, activities, and exercises to reduce fall risk
