Understanding Balance Impairment in COPD

This study is an observational study investigating the mechanisms of balance problems in people with COPD and how COPD impacts them living their daily lives. The main objectives of this study are: - To quantify the relationship between balance and aspects of neuromuscular function in individuals with COPD, and compared to age-matched healthy controls - To understand the lived experience of people with COPD and their carers Participants will attend an appointment at the University rehab lab to: - Complete a balance test - Fill out some questionnaires on mood, health status and balance and falls - Complete some walking tests - Have their body composition measured - Have the function and strength of their leg nerves and muscles tested Researchers will compare people with COPD and healthy controls (older adults without COPD or other conditions known to impact balance) to see if any of the things measured are impacting the balance of people with COPD more than their peers without COPD. - For 10 people with COPD only they will be visited at home to observe how they carry out everyday tasks and 5 of those 10 will have a follow up interview. Researchers will take notes and record interviews and look for similarities and interesting points in the notes and transcripts of the interviews to build a picture of what living with COPD is like.

A Study to Look at How Safe a New Medicine (NNC0491-6075) is in Healthy People and in Participants With High Levels of Fat in the Blood

The study is testing a new study medicine to treat people with high levels of fat in the blood. The main aim of the study is to see if the new study medicine is safe and how it works in the body. Participants will either get NNC0491-6075 (the new study medicine) or placebo (a "dummy medicine" without active ingredients). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. NNC0491-6075 is a new medicine which cannot be prescribed by doctors. The study has 3 parts (Part A, Part B and Part C). In Part A, investigators look at the effect of the study medicine after a single dose in healthy participants. Participants will get the study medicine either as injection(s) under the skin or as an infusion into a vein by the study staff. In Part B, investigators look at the effect of receiving the study medicine once weekly for four weeks in participants with high levels of fat in the blood but who are otherwise healthy. Participants will get the study medicine as injections under the skin by the study staff. In Part C, investigators look at the effect of the study medicine after a single dose in healthy participants of Japanese origin. Participants will get the study medicine either as injection(s) under the skin or as an infusion into a vein by the study staff. The study will last for about 18 months in total for Part A, Part B and Part C. Participants in Part A and Part C will be in the study for about 139 days each, from screening to the final visit while in Part B they will be in the study for about 160 days from screening to the final visit.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and pharmacokinetics (PK, the amount of drug in the blood) of a new drug called CDI-988 in healthy volunteers. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Are there any side effects of the drug? - What is the amount of drug that reaches the bloodstream? Participants will be assigned by chance to take either CDI-988 or placebo by mouth and have physical exams, electrocardiograms (ECGs), vital signs, and blood tests to look for any side effects.

This study will evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of a single dose of MenQuadfi® administered as a booster vaccine in toddlers 12 - 23 months of age in Argentina who had been primed with at least 1 dose of the quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccines Nimenrix® or Menveo® during infancy to protect against invasive meningococcal disease (IMD). Participants will receive a single dose of MenQuadfi® at Visit 1. Participants will provide 2 blood samples, one at D01 (Visit 1) pre-vaccination and another at D31 (Visit 2) post-vaccination for the immunogenicity assessments. Study will include 2 visits at D01 (Visit 1) and at D31 (Visit 2), and 1 Telephone call (TC) for safety follow-up at D09 post-study vaccination.
