NCT ID: NCT06116903 Not yet recruiting - Glioma Clinical Trials

Clinical Relevance of Detecting Molecular Abnormalities in Glial Tumor Exosomes

ExoGLIE
Start date: December 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this pilot study is that exosomes constitute a more interesting support for analyzes allowing a broader screening of molecular alterations to be carried out with more reliable, more sensitive and more efficient results than the reference Foundation One Liquid CDx test.

NCT ID: NCT06099743 Not yet recruiting - Glioma Clinical Trials

ASCENT Intervention for Brain Tumor Patients

Start date: May 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to test a psychosocial intervention called ASCENT (ACT-based Supportive intervention for patients with CENTral nervous system tumors). This intervention was developed to help patients after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. The main question this study aims to answer is whether this intervention is feasible (i.e., possible to carry out) and acceptable (i.e., considered helpful) to patients. Participants will be asked to take part in 6 coaching sessions and complete short surveys at four different time points. Some participants will be asked to share feedback via interviews.

NCT ID: NCT06093165 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma

RE-irradiation of Diffuse MIdline Glioma paTients

REMIT
Start date: October 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The REMIT (RE-irradiation of diffuse MIdline glioma paTients) study evaluates safety and the palliative efficacy of re-irradiation of patients with diffuse midline glioma (DMG). The study will introduce a standard re-irradiation treatment schedule for DMG patients who have progressed following primary treatment.

NCT ID: NCT06043765 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Cognitive Impairment

Reducing Cognitive Impairment in Glioma With Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Cognitive Strategy Training

TRUE-GRIT
Start date: September 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The TRUE-GRIT study will assess the feasibility of a study protocol investigating the efficacy of a combination therapy consisting of cognitive strategy training (CST) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to reduce cognitive impairment in adult glioma patients. This study is part of the GRIP-project, a project aimed at investigating interventions for improving quality of life in brain tumor patients.

NCT ID: NCT06002711 Not yet recruiting - High-grade Glioma Clinical Trials

Multi-Dimensional MRI Spatial Heterogeneity Analysis for Predicting Key Genes and Prognosis of High-Grade Gliomas: A Multi-Center Study

Start date: September 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

1. To retrospectively explore the feasibility of multi-dimensional heterogeneity imaging features of MRI in predicting the status of key gene mutations in high-grade gliomas; 2. To prospectively explore the correlation between multi-dimensional heterogeneous MRI image features and prognosis of high-grade glioma patients.

NCT ID: NCT05958472 Not yet recruiting - Glioma Clinical Trials

Navigating the Clinical Research Process for Glioma

Start date: August 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Participation in medical trials usually favors a particular demographic group. But there is limited research available to explain what trial attributes affect the completion of these specific demographic groups. This trial will admit a wide range of data on the clinical trial experience of glioma patients to determine which factors prevail in limiting a patient's ability to join or finish a trial. It will also try to analyze data from the perspective of different demographic groups to check for recurring trends which might yield insights for the sake of future glioma patients.

NCT ID: NCT05929495 Not yet recruiting - Metformin Clinical Trials

Phase 2, Open-label, Single-arm Study on the Use of Metformin as Adjunctive Therapy in High-grade Glioma

Start date: December 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

About 75% of CNS malignant tumors are classified as gliomas and the IDH-wildtype glioblastoma (GBM) represents the most aggressive form among CNS malignancies. This is a nationwide single-center phase II drug clinical trial with an approximate duration of 32 months. The clinical trial will be single-arm to evaluate the biological activity and effects of metformin in combination with TMZ in patients with GBM.

NCT ID: NCT05901844 Not yet recruiting - Glioma Clinical Trials

Evaluate the Accuracy of Raman IVD Analyzer in the Diagnosis of Gliomas During Surgery

Start date: June 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Compare the data obtained from the Raman analyzer and paraffin pathology examination on the same external brain tissue sample. Evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the Raman analyzer for intraoperative diagnosis gliomas of brain resection tissue samples, using paraffin pathological examination results as clinical reference standards.

NCT ID: NCT05850377 Not yet recruiting - Glioma Clinical Trials

5-Aminolevulinic Acid (5-ALA) Gliolan®: Usage Increase Proposal for Neurosurgical Procedures in High-Grade Gliomas

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this observational study is to evaluate disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with malignant gliomas undergoing neurosurgical procedures using 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA)-based photodynamic therapy

NCT ID: NCT05843253 Not yet recruiting - Glioblastoma Clinical Trials

Study of Ribociclib and Everolimus in HGG and DIPG

Start date: June 28, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this study is to determine the efficacy of the study drugs ribociclib and everolimus to treat pediatric and young adult patients newly diagnosed with a high-grade glioma (HGG), including DIPG, that have genetic changes in pathways (cell cycle, PI3K/mTOR) that these drugs target. The main question the study aims to answer is whether the combination of ribociclib and everolimus can prolong the life of patients diagnosed with HGG, including DIPG.
