NCT ID: NCT05241691 Completed - Joint Diseases Clinical Trials

Retrospective Evaluation of GGPSP's Safety and Clinical Performance for the Treatment of Lower Limbs Deformities.

Start date: November 16, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Orthofix is conducting this retrospective Post-market clinical follow up (PMCF) study to assess the safety and clinical performance of the GGPSP device, which is a new version of the Guided Growth Plate System (GGPS) from which it differs for small modifications compared to the original design. The purpose of the study is to collect clinical evidence from the use of the device in a representative number of pediatric patients who have already been treated with the device in the study and with at least one control visit post removal of plaque.. For this purpose, a retrospective PMCF study was considered to be the most appropriate study design to obtain the necessary information.

NCT ID: NCT04618016 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee

Evaluation of Medium Cross-linked Polyethylene With and Without Vitamin E for Total Knee Arthroplasty

VIKEP
Start date: March 8, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Prospective, randomized, single-blind, multinational, long-term study for the evaluation of the clinical outcome, oxidation profile and wear analysis of medium cross-linked Polyethylene with and without Vitamin E for total knee arthroplasty

NCT ID: NCT04377373 Completed - Genu Valgum Clinical Trials

Correlation Between Sacral Angle and Lumbar Range of Motion in Women With Genu Valgum

Start date: April 14, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Many patients with genu valgum present with postural changes, such as: internal rotation of the tibial and femoral axes, anteversion of the iliac bones, increased lumbar lordosis, thoracic hyperkyphosis and cervical hyperlordosis. Such pathomechanical changes may interfere with lumbar range of motion. Investigators of this study try to answer the following question: is there a relationship between sacral angle and lumbar range of motion in women with bilateral genu valgum. the results of this study will help professionals to plan a proper treatment program for patients with genu valgum.

NCT ID: NCT03378206 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Genu Valgum or Varum

Hinged Versus Conventional 8 Plate for Correction of Genu Valgum or Varum

Start date: May 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To assess the therapeutic effect of hinged 8-figure plate by comparing with the traditional 8-figure plate through a randomized controlled clinical trial by assessing the differences between preoperative and postoperative data. The hypothesis is that the hinged 8 plate provides low complications that this treatment is as good as the traditional one.

NCT ID: NCT01528553 Active, not recruiting - Deformity Clinical Trials

Stapling Versus 8plate for Correction of Genu Valgus

Start date: August 2009
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In children with excessive knock knees it may be necessary to use guided growth (small surgical procedure) so the child outgrows the condition before maturity. A new implant is on the market and the investigators compare this implant (8plate) with the old technique (staples) in a randomised setup. The hypothesis is that the 8plate provides a faster correction rate and that this treatment is superior to stapling.
