It was aimed to compare the pain and functional results of ESWT, kinesiotherapy and corticosteroid injection in patients with treatment-resistant plantar fasciitis.
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of Low-Dye and Kinesio Taping on pain and function in individuals with plantar fasciitis.
The main objective of this study is to compare the effects of Instrument Assisted soft tissue mobilization and kinesiology taping on the pain, disability and range of motion of the patients and to compare the cost-effectiveness of both these treatment approaches. RCT done at health professionals, Life Care International hospital, and railway general hospital. The sample size was 36. Patients diagnosed with plantar fasciitis were randomized into 2 groups i.e., Group A and Group B with the help of non-probability convenience sampling. Both groups had received conventional Physiotherapy interventions (Stretching, Manual therapy, exercise therapy and home exercise plane.) along with specific techniques. The patients in group A had received Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and patients in group B had received treatment with kinesiology taping. The total duration of study was about 4 weeks. The patients had received 3 sessions per week for a period of 4 weeks and the outcomes were evaluated at baseline (first session), second assessment at the end of 2nd week and 3rd assessment at the end of 4th week. Only obese patients aged between 25-65 years were included in the study and were assessed upon the scoring of foot function index. Data will be analysed with the help of SPSS version 21.
Randomized controlled trial of mixture of essential oils containing tea tree oil, rosemary, clove, pepper, in a formulation with skin permeation enhancers including limonene for the treatment of plantar fasciitis in adult men and women. Forty-two patients will be randomized to receive twice daily topical application of the treatment formulation or plain tea tree oil as a control. Analog pain scores will be assessed at the start of treatment and at two weeks. Analysis will be by student's T-test.
Previous studies has discussed the effects of muscle energy technique and counterstrain technique in upper trapezius and low back pain but no comparative study is found on planter fasciitis patients. In this study we are going to compare the effects of muscle energy technique and counterstrain technique with routine physical therapy in relation with pain, functional status and satisfaction level in planter fasciitis patients
Plantar fasciitis is a very studied pathology and treated with taping. There are studies that assess the effectiveness of Kinesio taping, as well as taping or low-dye taping, few studies that compare the two treatments and assess which is more effective. In the present work the effectiveness of Kinesio taping and taping will be assessed, as well as whether possible differences among intervention effects exist in terms of pain improvement, comfort and durability of the bandage.

One of the pathologies most studied and treated with kinesiotape (KT) is plantar fasciitis (PF). In most of the studies reviewed, it is concluded that there is an improvement in the symptoms of PF when treated with KT: either combined with other therapies or as a single treatment compared to placebo. However, most current studies have limitations because the sample is small, the effect size is small, and the evidence is insufficient or of low quality. In the present work, the aim is to study the effectiveness of KT in PF, and to compare the results with those obtained in a placebo group, which is treated with tape. The researchers will assess the decrease in symptoms prior to performing other definitive treatments. In addition, the variability of the painful symptoms and the durability of the bandage will be studied, in order to determine whether it can be used in the short or long period of time, being able to take it into account and supposing a supplement to the pharmacological treatment.
