Filter by:Orthodontic treatment is an elective procedure to improve the patient's dentofacial appearance. The complex design of fixed appliances provides a platform that leads to increased plaque accumulation around orthodontic brackets. So, the risk to develop demineralization area adjacent to orthodontic brackets is a major barrier in achieving this goal. Oral hygiene is greatly complicated following the placement of fixed orthodontic Appliances. Molar tube in place are considered for nearly all patients experiencing fixed orthodontic therapy over the whole treatment period, which normally lasts 1.5 to 2 years. To the best of the authors' knowledge, the application and antimicrobial efficacy of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles coating on orthodontic molar tube material has not been integrated clinically. White spot lesions during orthodontic treatment have a documented etiology. Briefly, the accumulation of plaque and food around brackets, bands, wires, and other attachments caused decreased pH and increased S. mutans colonization, which led to the possibility of clinical demineralization. The aims of study are to assess the antimicrobial effect of nanoparticle coated stainless steel orthodontic molar tube material (OMT) with zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles in relative to uncoated orthodontic molar tube (UOMT) against the streptococcus. mutans& lactobacllius bacteria that cause white spot lesion around the fixed orthodontic appliance. .
The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of shear-wave elastography for the diagnosis and staging of breast cancer related lymphedema by assessing the skin and subcutaneous tissues of the arm and forearm, which could serve as a reference standard and be more easily applicable in daily life; and to investigate the relationship between the patients' symptoms and elastographic measurements.
Through the translation and verification of the Lysholm Knee Score Scale, a Chinese version of the Lysholm Knee Score Scale supported by experimental data was obtained. And on this basis, explore the knee joint score scale that fits the Chinese situation
Activities-specific Balance Confidence (ABC) scale is a well-known tool to evaluate functional balance. Diabetic patients suffer more often from balance disorders than the rest of the population. The aim is to investigate the validity of the Turkish version of ABC short form in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous disorder of reproductive, endocrine and metabolic functions. Vitamin D has an influence on metabolic and reproductive functions. This study was designed to explore the levels of free 25 hydroxy cholecalciferol [25(OH) D] in PCOS patients. We also aimed to clarify the impact of vitamin D supplementation on cardiometabolic status, androgen profile and clinical features of PCOS.
As patients improve on one parametric result, the results on the other parametric may worsen, but the total score may not be affected. For this reason, it would be useful to make measurements that evaluate all the parameters of the patients. Thus, it would be more advantageous to score both pain and symptoms separately, as well as activity limitations. Therefore, neck specific surveys are needed to meet this need. For this reason, this study was planned to determine the validity of the questionnaire named "Profile Fitness Mapping Neck Questionnaire" in patients with neck pain.
The aim of the study is to validate a french version of the 5 minutes version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment as compared to the french full version of this test.
