Cerebral palsy (CP) is a syndrome caused by a non-progressive lesion in the developing brain. Spastic diplegia cerebral palsy is a form of cerebral palsy, permanently affects muscle control and coordination. Symptoms include increased muscle tone which leads to spasticity (stiff or tight muscles and exaggerated reflexes) in the legs. Physiotherapist will come across many children with disability and it's a daily routine that providing treatment and educating parents regarding the treatment and ask them to continue at home. Family centered home program for children with disability plays a major role in their improvement. By educating and creating awareness among mother's, it can really do justice for the recovery of differently abled children. This will be a randomized control trial. Study will be conducted on 24 patients. Inclusion criteria of this study is mothers of spastic cerebral palsy children (Diplegic), Age 6-12 years, with GMFCS level II & III and mothers who are willing to spend time in giving home program and give feedback every day and should maintain continuity coming to the department. Mothers of Cerebral palsy (diplegic) children will be excluded if the children are suffering with fixed deformities and with recent surgeries involving spine and limbs. Working females more than 5 working hours are also excluded. Participants will be divided randomly into two groups. In group A, Participants will be educated thoroughly about treatment plan which includes routine neuro physical therapy aiming (Gross Motor Function & Balance). A class will be organized to educate Mothers/ Caregivers through PPT presentation, video and pictures. In group B, participants will not be educated about treatment plan, routine home plan was given once in a week. Intervention will be given for 8 weeks, 5 days a week for 45 minutes. Pre and post session Gross motor function by GMFM, balance by PBS, Quality of life by CP-QOL and parental stress by PSI will be measured.
Children with spastic diplegic Cerebral Palsy (CP) often show motor impairment due to a number of deficits; including poor muscle control, weakness, spasticity and reduced range of motion in the extremities. All these factors affect the ability of children with CP to maintain balance and walk which are the primary rehabilitation concerns of parents and clinicians. The Balance Trainer provides a safe balance environment and assists with muscle activation of ankle and hip joints, and it is hypothesized that to promote spasticity inhibition, the use of TENS may decrease hyper-excitability, modulate reciprocal inhibition, and increase presynaptic inhibition. To the best of the authors' knowledge, the current study is the first research to investigate the effect of using Biodex balance training with TENS in improving children with spastic diplegia.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between trunk control, upper extremity functionality and balance in children with cerebral palsy and to compare this relationship with healthy sedentary children.This study is carried out through Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit.
" Study will investigate the immediate effect of DAFO usage on balance and gross motor functions in individuals with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. The study is planned to be conducted with children aged 4-15 who have GMFCS levels 1 and 2 and who are willing to participate along with their families at the Turkey Spastic Children Foundation Metin Sabancı Special Education and Rehabilitation Center. During the dates of the study, children who meet the inclusion criteria will be evaluated. Demographic information such as age, height, and weight will be obtained for the participating children. To classify the gross motor levels of the children, the Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), the Manual Abilities Classification System (MACS) for hand skills, the Communication Function Classification System (CFCS) for communication skills, and the Eating and Drinking Ability Classification System (EDACS) for feeding skills will be used. In addition, the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM-88) items D and E for assessing motor skills, the Wii Balance Board for testing balance, the Pediatric Berg Balance Scale, and the functional reach test will be utilized. The balance and gross motor functions of the included children will be assessed in two different ways: with and without DAFO. Data analysis will be conducted by a blinded statistician who is not part of the research team. IBM SPSS 26 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) will be used for statistical analysis of the data. Normality of continuous variables will be assessed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. If continuous variables follow a normal (parametric) distribution, paired sample t-tests will be conducted on pre-test and post-test data. If the data are non-parametric, Wilcoxon test will be used. Pearson chi-square test or Spearman correlation coefficient will be used to determine the relationship between variables based on assumptions. Results will be evaluated at a significance level of p < 0.05 with a 95% confidence interval."
the study is carried out to identify If there is any difference between the effectiveness of Vestibular training and Dual task training on balance in children with Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. so in this study the sample will be divided into two equal groups, each group will recieve only one type of training ( vestibular training or dual task training ) the balance of the diplegic children will be assessed before and after using HUMAC balance system and pediatric balance scale , the results will be compared between both groups and if there is one training is more effective than the other , it will be recommended most in the future treatment program.
The aim of the study is to find out the effects of Action observation therapy as compared to the traditional physiotherapy in diplegic spastic cerebral palsy patients. We will check the effects on balance mobility and cognition of patients.
Effects of Home Versus Hospital Based Action Observation Therapy on Balance, Mobility and Cognition in Diaplegic Cerebral Palsy. It will be a RCT we want to identify the effects of action observation therapy on patients coming to the hospital as compared to the patients at home. We will also identify the retaining effects of AOT. Our sample size will be 40 diplegic patients having no cognitive issues and able to walk with assistive device. We will exclude the patient who will suffer with severe comorbidities and visual impairment. We will randomly assign the patients into two groups A and B.A will receive Action observation therapy three times a day along with stretching exercises .while group B we perform AOT and stretching exercises at home with same frequency.

Using challenging surfaces of gait training, which require constant adjustments of the body's movement patterns to maintain stability and provide different sensory and proprioceptive inputs to mimic real life situation is appropriate for children with CP. So, the purpose of the current study is to investigate the influence of surface characteristics of gait training on gait kinematics and walking capacity in children with diplegic CP.
