Long-term prognostic value of macrovascular and microvascular coronary artery stenoses in each type of cardiomyopathy.
This is a joint project by Heidelberg University and Greifswald University. Our objective is to establish an unique national multi-center registry and biobank of well phenotyped patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathies (CMP) including in depth clinical, molecular and omics-based phenotyping to serve as: 1. central hub for clinical outcome studies. 2. joint resource for diagnostic and therapeutic trials. 3. common biomaterial bank. 4. resource for detailed molecular analyses on patients' biomaterials and patient specific model systems.
The purpose of this research study is to see if a lottery which provides the opportunity to win money, a reminder system using a "Med-eMonitor", or the combination of both might be useful in helping patients to achieve better control of their anticoagulation therapy. Selection for the arms of the study is randomized by the study computer. Some will participate in the daily lottery only, some with the reminder system only, some with the reminder system and the daily lottery, and some with neither the lottery nor the reminder system.
We are performing a research study to learn more about the control of an individual's blood thinning (anticoagulation) on warfarin. Individuals from an anticoagulation clinic are being asked to participate in order to see if a lottery which provides the opportunity to win money in combination with the use of the Med-eMonitor might be useful in helping patients to achieve better control of their anticoagulation therapy. Half of the participants will be enrolled in the lottery arm and the other half will be a control group who will receive the Med-eMonitor only.
