NCT ID: NCT06355921 Not yet recruiting - Desmoid Tumor Clinical Trials

A Prospective Clinical Study on the Safety and Efficacy of Radiofrequency Ablation for the Treatment of Patients With Desmoid Tumors

RFAdesmoid
Start date: April 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective study on the safety and effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation in patients with desmoid tumors. In the study group, all patients after radiofrequency ablation of the tumor after 1 month will be evaluated using MRI and CT studies and, if solid components of the tumor are detected, repeated surgical treatment is performed followed by active monitoring after 1 month. In the absence of a solid component, the effect is estimated by the volume of the necrotic process and monitored in dynamics every 3 months.

Start date: February 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to closely observe people with desmoid-type fibromatosis over 1 months.

A Study of a New Drug, Nirogacestat, for Treating Desmoid Tumors That Cannot be Removed by Surgery

Start date: October 7, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well nirogacestat works in treating patients less than 18 years of age with desmoid tumors that has grown after at least one form of treatment by mouth or in the vein that cannot be removed by surgery. Nirogacestat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

NCT ID: NCT03966742 Completed - Desmoid Clinical Trials

Doxorubicin Eluting Intra-arterial Embolization for Aggressive Desmoid Fibromatosis

Start date: October 11, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this study Drug-eluting microbeads (DEB) loaded with Doxorubicin will be delivered into the target Desmoid Fibromatoses (DF) tissue via selective arterial embolization by angiographic technique. The objective of the study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of this treatment.

NCT ID: NCT02834013 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Nivolumab and Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Rare Tumors

Start date: January 30, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with rare tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. This trial enrolls participants for the following cohorts based on condition: 1. Epithelial tumors of nasal cavity, sinuses, nasopharynx: A) Squamous cell carcinoma with variants of nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharynx and trachea (excluding laryngeal, nasopharyngeal cancer [NPC], and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck [SCCHN]) B) Adenocarcinoma and variants of nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharynx (closed to accrual 07/27/2018) 2. Epithelial tumors of major salivary glands (closed to accrual 03/20/2018) 3.
