NCT ID: NCT05742945 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Lymphedema

Can ILR Reduce the Risk of Arm Lymphedema?

Start date: February 14, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a debilitating, usually lifelong burden for breast cancer survivors. For the breast cancer patients receiving axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), the likelihood of BCRL is about 20%. Lymphatico-venous anastomosis (LVA) has been accepted as a method of treating extremity lymphedema. A few studies have mentioned the prophylactic effect of LVA on BCRL. However, there is still lack of a large-scale randomized controlled trial to corroborate its efficacy. Therefore, the goal of this study is to conduct a prospective randomized controlled trial to evaluate if immediate lymphatic reconstruction (ILR) with LVA could have a clinically significant effect on the reduction of BCRL occurrence.

NCT ID: NCT05740800 Active, not recruiting - Immunotherapy Clinical Trials

Patient Care Needs and the Decision-Making Experience of Patients With Cancer and Family Caregivers Regarding Immunotherapy: A Qualitative and Quantitative Mixed Methods Study

Start date: October 18, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Immunotherapy is currently a crucial cancer treatment option. Despite the development of new cancer treatment, patients and their family caregivers still experience complex psychological feelings and challenges about the effectiveness of immunotherapy, financial burden, and treatment related side effects which reflect the problems related to decision-making and the supportive care needs.

NCT ID: NCT05734339 Active, not recruiting - Asthma Clinical Trials

Patient-Reported Outcomes of Benralizumab in Real-World Use in Severe Eosinophilic Asthma Patients in Taiwan (BEAT)

Start date: January 19, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

An open-label, single-arm, non-interventional, prospective, multicenter study involving primary data collection within real-world settings for patients who receive benralizumab for treatment of severe uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma

NCT ID: NCT05725629 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Association Model; Chinese Medicine Physique Types; Health Care Base on Traditional Chinese Medicine; Women Infertility

Discussion on the Association Model of Traditional Chinese Medi-cine Body Constitution and Female Infertility

Start date: July 16, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Abstract Background: Infertility may cause physiological and psychological distress. The Health Promotion Administration in Taiwan has listed infertility improvement under the "Reproductive health and prevention section" in the Whole Person Wellness policy. Methods: This study was based on an exploratory research design. It used artificial intelligence algorithms such as logistic regression and association rules, and constructed the association model between the physique literature of traditional Chinese medicine and common demographic variables. Results: The participants showed three types of constitutions in traditional Chinese medicine, namely Yin deficiency, Yang deficiency, and phlegm stasis. Infertile women who prefer to eat heavy or sour-tasting foods were 2.8 times more likely to have ovarian factors than those who do not like to eat those foods. Conclusions: Based on the correction between physique type and the demographic variables of infertile women, care based on traditional Chinese medicine should be pro-vided to improve the body constitutions of infertile women.

NCT ID: NCT05722015 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Subcutaneous (SC) Pembrolizumab Coformulated With Hyaluronidase (MK-3475A) vs Intravenous Pembrolizumab in Adult Participants With Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) (MK-3475A-D77)

Start date: February 14, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study is to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of SC MK-3475A vs intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab, administered with chemotherapy in first line treatment of adult participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The primary hypotheses of this study are MK-3475A subcutaneous (SC) is noninferior to pembrolizumab IV with respect to PK parameters.

NCT ID: NCT05720416 Active, not recruiting - Dementia Clinical Trials

Effects of a Multi-intervention Programme for the Elderly

Start date: August 22, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

1. To develop a multiactivity training programme. 2. To explore the effect of this programme on sarcopenia, sarcopenic obesity, cognitive impairment and Parkinson's disease. 3. To compare the effects of the experimental and control treatments on the muscle strength, body composition, physical function performance and quality of life of the elderly.

NCT ID: NCT05717686 Active, not recruiting - Chronic Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating AHB-137 in Healthy Participants and Participants With Chronic Hepatitis B

Start date: February 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of AHB-137 subcutaneous injection in healthy volunteers and in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients after single and multiple doses. In addition, the study will evaluate the initial antiviral efficacy of AHB-137 in CHB patients following a multiple dosing regimen.

NCT ID: NCT05714163 Active, not recruiting - Muscle Weakness Clinical Trials

Effects of Ai Chi on Scapular Muscle Activation in Overhead Athletes With Scapular Dyskinesis

Start date: October 16, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Scapular dyskinesis (SD) is common in overhead athletes and negatively influence the athletes' performance, increasing the risk of shoulder injury. The kinetic chain (KC) exercises for SD rehabilitation that emphasize importance of core strength and scapula stability during skillful performance. Ai Chi, the aquatic exercises performed in functional positions, which are adequate for power transfer of KC. This study will investigate the effect of KC-based water exercises, Ai Chi, on scapular muscles in overhead athletes with SD.

NCT ID: NCT05684341 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

A Randomized Controlled Trial to Compare the Glycemic Control, With or Without the Connected Solution, of Adult Type 2 Diabetic Participants on Basal Insulin in Taiwan

TW CES RCT
Start date: February 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The Connected Solution investigated in this study is the combination of the titration module "Insultrate" and a cell phone application (app) named Health2Sync (H2S) that synchronizes participants' self-monitoring blood glucose data and electronic health records to a platform overseen by their treating physicians. This study investigates if this Connected Solution helps to improve glycemic control more effectively than physician-recommended routine management (i.e., usual care) in participants with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).
