There are about 10560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Taiwan. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The aims of this study is to integrate real-time data flow infrastructure between hospital information system and AI models and to conduct a cluster randomized crossover trial to evaluate the efficacy of the AI models in improving patient flow and relieving ED crowding.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Fespixon cream for prevention and/or appearance reduction of different types of linear scars during the 12-week treatment phase, which is assessed by the blinded independent evaluator.
Background: This study aimed to the postoperative patients with newly diagnosed head and neck Cancer. The nurse-led counselling and after intervention improved shoulder pain, Shoulder Disability, and Quality of Life., before 2 weeks radical neck dissection and at postoperative 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks. Methods:Participants were identified for eligibility from the otorhinolaryngology outpatient department of a medical center in eastern Taiwan. The data of 40 patients were collected between Aug 1, 2017, and Jul 31, 2018. 40 participants were randomly assigned to an experimental (n = 20) and a control group (n = 20). The experimental group received the nurse counselling and after intervention exercise intervention , and the control group received usual care. Study tools used were the shoulder pain and disability indices, University of Washington Quality of Life Questionnaire.
The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of bemarituzumab monotherapy and combination with other anti-cancer therapies, and to determine the recommended phase 3 dose of bemarituzumab in combination with other anti-cancer therapies.
Naldebain, a long-acting analgesic injection, obtained a license from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare on March 6, 2017 to approve a sustained-release long-acting analgesic on the market in Taiwan. This study hopes to use a rigorous double-blind randomized controlled experiment to understand whether the new sustained-release analgesic Naldebain can achieve effective pain relief for patients undergoing knee replacement surgery, and to evaluate the patient's functional recovery status .
Stargardt disease 1 (STGD1) is the most prevalent form of juvenile macular degeneration. It is caused by a rare, inherited autosomal recessive trait, leading to severe and irreversible blindness by the first or second decade of life. Earlier onset of the disease is related to a rapid vision loss, while patients with a later onset tend to have a better prognosis. This study will enrol subjects aged 12-18 years old with a confirmed clinical diagnosis of Stargardt disease type 1 (STGD1). This study will include 2 phases, the phase 1b portion is to determine the optimal dose for phase 2 based on the extent of retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) reduction after 2 cycles of tinlarebant treatment. The phase 2 portion will evaluate the safety and efficacy of a single daily dose of tinlarebant over a 24-month treatment period.
Hypertension is a major cause of death worldwide. Patients should adjust their lifestyle and learn how to maintain a balance between self-management of a disease and their daily livelihood. Knowledge is networked, mobile devices can be used as a way of health education. The purpose of this study is to evaluation the effectiveness of the disease self-management program through a mobile applications for patients with hypertension. Statistical analyses was used analysis of covariance for checking the effect of interventions. Through the calculation by a statistical power analysis formula, the study takes 70 samples and divides them into a control group (usual care) and an experimental group (disease self-management program through a mobile applications) by the single blind randomized controlled trial, whereby each groups has 35 samples. The first step investigate the physiological indicators, mental health, self-management, quality of life of the patients. For the experimental group, after the pre-test the study set up a health guide for the disease self-management program with a mobile applications. The experimental group received the mobile apps educational program for at least 30 minutes each session and at least once every two days. After two weeks and six weeks, a follow-up telephone interview helped to strengthen the health self-management self-confidence. The effect of interventions was then evaluated after three months when the patients returned. Therefore, the self-management of a disease can be improved and patients will learn to live in harmony with hypertension by improving their mental health, self-management, and quality of life.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the vaginal gel with HMW HA in women with genitourinary syndromes due to either menopause or other causes such as the patients after ovarian or breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
This study applies a semiconductor analyzer to investigate the effects of acupuncture manipulation.
Gender mainstreaming is a global development trend, as gender disparity has an impact on the development of the social, economic, political, and medical ecologies, as well as people's lives. Understand that gender education involves systematic and structured planning to break students' gender blindness. And to implement health and gender as essential foundations of human rights. Educators need to use systematic curriculum planning and design to conduct gender impact assessments on current curriculum, plans, or policies in the field of health care, so as to strengthen learners' analysis of health problems and consider gender factors at the same time. It is necessary to guide students to incorporate gender perspectives into their thinking so as to help students adopt diversified problem-solving strategies and actions in the care process. This study used a quasi-experimental research design. The students of a university nursing department were the research subjects. We had a total of 44 participants through a convenient sampling method (one class per week, two hours each time, for a total of 18 weeks). At the same time, we collected the subject's learning reflections on gender issues and conducted the content analysis. The gender stereotype and role attitude scale were used as instruments, and the data were analyzed by the paired t-test method using the software package SPSS 21.0. The research results showed that through the concept of empowerment, students can be enlightened about their gender concepts, explicit knowledge can be transformed into tacit knowledge, and the empowerment process can prompt individuals to truly understand, apply knowledge, and start from the subject experience of learning, also transforming their learning experience. Individuals can become aware of their behaviors, thereby generating problem-solving abilities and practical actions with the gender perspective.
