NCT ID: NCT04207138 Withdrawn - Labor Pain Clinical Trials

To Study the Association Among Labor Pain and Physical Parameters in Laboring Pregnant Women

Start date: April 14, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Analysis of monitored clinically parameters during the course of labor is a seldom studied area in Taiwan and worldwide. Important monitored parameters include, fetal heartbeat, uterine contractions, oxygen saturation and blood pressure, among others.1 During labor, uterine contractions can cause pain.3 This pain may be measured using a visual analogue scale (VAS).2 The pain from uterine contractions promotes the release of hormones including cortisol which can cause decreased or irregular contractions and possibly prolong labor.3 This study aims to study the association between monitored clinical parameters and pain in women in Taiwan during labor in order to increase the understanding to safe childbirth.

NCT ID: NCT04044326 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

The Safety and Efficacy of Spherical Microwave Ablation for the Treatment of Malignant Liver Tumors

Start date: September 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Liver cancer including primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and metastatic liver cancers is one the most common malignancies in the world. Over 10000 new cases per year are diagnosed in Taiwan. Several pre-clinical studies have already demonstrated microwave ablation (MWA) is a safe and effective treatment for live cancers. The system (Solero Microwave Tissue Ablation System) with 2.45 GHz microwave generator could create a spherical ablation zone, and has certificated by CE (Conformité Européenne) mark and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval in 2017. However, there are still few experiences in using MWA for tumor ablation in Taiwan. In this study, the researchers will perform MWA for 20 inoperable patients with liver cancers adjacent to inferior vena cava (IVC). The researchers will appraisal the clinical feasibility and advantage of the system by this study.

NCT ID: NCT03993990 Withdrawn - Diabetic Foot Ulcer Clinical Trials

Effects of Empowerment-based Program on Post-discharge Glycemic Control, and Foot Ulcer

Start date: August 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate an empowerment-based program. A randomized controlled trial design will be used. From August 2019 to July 2021, 160 subjects will be recruited at a medical center and randomly assigned to the intervention or comparison group. Participants in the intervention group will receive an assessment of their self-care demand and self-efficacy, as well as an empowerment-based program delivered by the project host. The program includes the identification of the problems of participants, clarification of their feelings and the significance of their problems, plan setting discussion, motivation for action, and evaluation of the execution of their plan. Empowerment-based strategies will be provided individually at the following time points: before discharge, on post-discharge days 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 42, 56, 70, and 84, and at 6, 9, and 12 months post-discharge. Those in the comparison group will receive routine care only. Outcome measures include self-care behaviors, glycemic control (measured by HbA1C), diabetic foot ulcer infection, and diabetic foot ulcer recurrence. Data will be collected at baseline and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after discharge.

NCT ID: NCT03988114 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Metastatic Breast Cancer

A Study of Abemaciclib (LY2835219) in Participants With HR+, HER2- Advanced Breast Cancer

proMONARCH
Start date: September 16, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The reason for this study is to see if the drug abemaciclib in combination with nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole or letrozole) is effective in participants with Hormone Receptor Positive (HR+), Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Negative (HER2-) advanced breast cancer that have certain disease characteristics.

NCT ID: NCT03970863 Withdrawn - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Focal Therapy for Localized Prostate Cancer

Start date: August 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To evaluate the cancer control for prostate cancer patients treated with focal therapy.

NCT ID: NCT03937271 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

NCT ID: NCT03873792 Withdrawn - Allergic Diseases Clinical Trials

Oral Probiotics to Allergic Pregnant Mother and Their Offspring to Prevent Allergic Disease

Start date: October 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is first to detect the difference of the intestinal microbiome between allergic pregnant mother and the non-allergic pregnant mother using the next generation sequence, all postnatal infants will collect the first meconium and feces from one, two, six months to one year old for the same test. The second stage of the study is to restore the allergic pregnant mother abnormal intestinal microbiome with probiotics trying to reduce the incidence of allergic disease of their offspring.

To discover whether different types of ventilation breathing tube influence ventilation effect of children/ neonate, the investigators analysis tidal volume, end tidal carbon dioxide, compliance among children and neonate under general anesthesia. The study compares eight ventilator breathing tube of different length, diameter, material of the ventilator breathing tube. Besides, the investigators also make an approach verify the change of body temperate under different gas flow(2L, and 5L).
