There are about 25435 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United Kingdom. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aims to test the feasibility and acceptability of home-based motor-motor dual-task training and motor-cognitive dual-task training interventions, and balance-related outcome measures which may be used in an anticipated future randomized control trial intended to determine the superiority of these dual-task training interventions.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effects of using bacterial lysate in bronchiolitis. The main question it aims to answer are: Does the use of bacterial lysate after bronchiolitis reduce the likelihood of preschool wheeze Participants will take either the active medicine or a placebo for 24 months.
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about IMM60 with or without pembrolizumab in participants with advanced melanoma or non-small cell lung cancer. There are two phases: - Phase 1: This phase is designed to learn about the safety of IMM60 with or without pembrolizumab and to find a safe dose to test in Phase 2. - Phase 2: This phase is designed to learn whether IMM60 + pembrolizumab improves progression-free survival at 12 months compared to pembrolizumab alone in participants with non-small cell lung cancer.
The goal of this feasibility study is to learn about dose de-escalation in the treatment of men with intermediate risk prostate cancer. The main question it aims to answer is the technical feasibility of treating prostate cancer with toxicity-minimising radiotherapy on an Magnetic Resonance Linear Accelerator (MR-linac). It will also examine gastrointestinal and genitourinary toxicity in the acute and late setting post radiotherapy as well as Prostate-Specific antigen (PSA) control up until 2 years post treatment. Participants will be treated with radiotherapy to the prostate with which will be given in 30Gy in 5 fractions to the whole prostate and 45Gy in 5 fractions to the dominant lesion.
The goal of this clinical trial is to test whether lyophilized fecal microbime transfer - a dried extract of bacteria from the stool of healthy donors - is better than antibiotic therapy only for treating primary clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) in adult participants. The main question it aims to answer is whether lyophilized fecal microbiome transfer lowers the number of episodes of CDI compared to antibiotic therapy. Participants will be assigned to one of two groups: - In the intervention group participants will be given vancomycin by mouth for five days followed by 5 days of capsules of lyophilized fecal microbiome to swallow, up until day 10. - In the control group participants will be given vancomycin by mouth for ten days. - All participants will be asked to arrive for two follow-up visits and to fill out questionnaires. In addition, all participants will be asked to give stool samples before antibiotic therapy and on the two follow-up visits. Researchers will compare the intervention group and the control group to see if there is a difference in symptoms degree after ten days and in recurrence of the infection after two months. They will also compare side effects, the total use of antibiotics and the change in the composition of bacteria in the stool, namely the presence of bacteria that are resistant to many drugs.
Primary Objective The primary objective is to explore the feasibility of collecting a vaginal sample using the OriCol™ Sampling Device. Secondary Objectives The study has secondary objectives to assess: 1. Acceptability of the sampling technique to both patient and clinician 2. To understand the balloon volume (maximum 80ml) required for effective intra-vaginal sampling. 3. Participant feedback during and after the test for using the OriCol™ Sampling Device using a Visual Analogue Scale 4. Patient discrete choice of Oricol™ versus speculum examination.
The goal of this registry database is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of functional ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation using SENSE protocol in patients with ischaemic VT. Mortality and the need for ICD therapies at 12 months post-ablation will be compared with propensity-matched controls undergoing substrate-based ablation alone.
A migraine is a moderate to severe headache on one side of the head. A migraine attack is a headache that may be accompanied by throbbing, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound, or other symptoms. A number of treatments are available for adults with migraine but there are limited approved treatments available for participants less than 18 years of age. The main goal of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of atogepant in pediatric participants between the ages of 6 and 17 with episodic migraine. Atogepant is a medicine currently approved to treat adults with episodic migraine (0 to 14 migraine days per month) and is being studied in pediatric participants between the ages of 6 and 17 with a history of episodic migraine. This is a Phase 3, open-label study of atogepant in participants with a history of episodic migraine. Participants must have completed participation in another study of atogepant (lead-in study) or completed the screening period of that study. Participants must have 4 to 14 migraine days and less than 15 headache days in the 4-week screening electronic diary (eDiary; similar to a smart phone). Around 250 participants will be enrolled in the study at approximately 100 sites worldwide. Atogepant is a tablet taken once a day by mouth. Participants between the ages of 12 and 17 will receive high dose atogepant for 52 Weeks. Participants between the ages of 6 and 11 will receive an atogepant dose determined in the lead-in study for 52 Weeks. There may be a bigger responsibility for participants in this study. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effects of treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects, and completing questionnaires.
This study compares manipulative therapy to steroid injection in the treatment of Morton's Neuroma.
The primary objectives of this study are: In Part 1 to evaluate the efficacy of zanubrutinib as measured by proteinuria reduction, and in Part 2 to evaluate the efficacy of zanubrutinib compared with tacrolimus as measured by complete remission rate, in participants with primary membranous nephropathy who are on optimal supportive care.
