NCT ID: NCT03465657 Enrolling by invitation - Body Weight Clinical Trials

Sodium Sources and Sodium Intake in a Representative Sample of Spanish Children

Start date: October 10, 2013
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Previous evidence shows that sodium intake in Spanish adult population is over the recommended limits and this high sodium intake is related with difficulties in body weight control and blood pressure control. The aim of this study is to stablish a direct relationship between salt intake and the health parameters previously mentioned in a representative sample of Spanish schoolchildren between 7-11 years old. The investigators are applying a 3-day dietary records to collect dietary data, and collecting 24-h urine samples in order to analyse biochemical indicators of sodium intake and other nutrients. Anthropometric data are also being recorded and body composition is also analysed using bioimpedance technique.

NCT ID: NCT03105895 Enrolling by invitation - Incisional Hernia Clinical Trials

Prevention of Incisional Hernia With an Onlay Mesh Visible on MRI

VISIBLE
Start date: September 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

It has been demonstrated that incisional hernia incidence after laparotomy can be safely reduced with the addition of a mesh to the conventional closure of the abdominal wall. There still some debate about which is the best position to place this mesh: onlay or sublay. In Europe we have now meshes with CEE approval to be used as reinforcement of abdominal wall closure. The investigators have planned to include 200 patients in a multi center study using an onlay PDVF mesh that can be tracked by magnetic resonance. The patients included will be patients with risk factors for the development of an incisional hernia. The incidence of incisional hernia will be assessed clinically and radiologically after 1 and 2 years follow-up. The incidence of surgical sites occurrences and pain will be also assessed.

NCT ID: NCT03090503 Enrolling by invitation - Schizophrenia Clinical Trials
