There are about 1129 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Estonia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study is open to adults with Progressive Fibrosing Interstitial Lung Diseases (PF-ILDs). People who have a form of PF-ILD other than Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) can join the study. If they already take nintedanib, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1015550 helps people with PF-ILD. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of BI 1015550 as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo tablets twice a day. Placebo tablets look like BI 1015550 tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for up to two and a half years. During the first year, they visit the study site 10 times. Afterwards, they visit the study site every 3 months. The doctors regularly test participants' lung function. The results of the lung function tests are compared between the groups. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
This study is open to adults with a lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). People can join the study if they are 40 years or older. If they already take nintedanib or pirfenidone for their IPF, they can continue treatment throughout the study. The purpose of this first-time-in-human (FTiH) study is to evaluate the reactogenicity, safety, immune response, and efficacy of an investigational herpes simplex virus (HSV)-targeted immunotherapy (TI). The study will be conducted in 2 parts: Part I assessing different formulations of the Herpes Simplex Virus-targeted immunotherapy (HSVTI) in healthy participants aged 18-40 years; Part II assessing the 2 formulations of the HSVTI in participants aged 18-60 years with recurrent genital herpes.
This is a Phase IIIb, single-arm, multicenter, OLE study. Participants receiving ocrelizumab as an investigational medicinal product (IMP) in a Roche sponsored Parent study who continue to receive ocrelizumab or are in safety follow-up at the time of the closure of their respective Parent study (WA21092, WA21093 or WA25046) are eligible for enrollment in this extension study. Participants who will continue ocrelizumab treatment will receive IMP based on the dosage and administration received at the time of rollover from the Parent study.
This Phase 3, multinational, single-arm, multicenter study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of UGN-102 as primary chemoablative therapy in patients with low grade intermediate risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (LG IR NMIBC).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of JNJ-78934804 as compared to guselkumab and golimumab in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have had an inadequate initial response, loss of response, or intolerance to one or more approved advanced therapy.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of JNJ-78934804 at Week 48 compared to guselkumab and golimumab.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and antidrug antibody (ADA) response for MEDI8897 in healthy late preterm and term infants who are 35 weeks or greater gestational age and entering their first RSV season.
Studies have shown that combining chemotherapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) prolongs survival compared with chemotherapy alone in extensive stage small-cell lung cancer (ES SCLC), but the survival benefit is modest. The main aim of this trial is to investigate whether there is a synergistic/additive effect of concurrent thoracic radiotherapy in ES SCLC patients receiving carboplatin/etoposide/durvalumab.
This is a prospective, multicentre observational study screening all adult patients admitted to a participating hospital over a 6-month study period (may be adjusted to 4-8 months according to recruitment) and including all patients with suspicion of or confirmed acute mesenteric ischaemia (AMI). Only admission data and hospital mortality outcome will be collected for patients in whom suspicion of AMI is not confirmed. For patients with confirmed AMI full data collection regarding diagnostics, management and long-term outcome is required. Investigators aim to recruit 40-50 sites with expected median of 10-20 patients with confirmed AMI per site during the study period (naturally depending on the size of the hospital). The start of the study is planned for Spring 2022. The aim of the study is to identify the incidence of AMI and its different forms in adult hospitalized patients, and to describe patient characteristics (demographic, clinical and laboratory) at baseline, applied diagnostics and management, as well as outcomes in patients with AMI. An additional aim is to compare the baseline characteristics and outcomes of patients with confirmed AMI to those of patients with suspected AMI in whom the diagnosis was not confirmed.
