There are about 2320 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Chile. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This is a Phase III, international, multi-centre, randomised, double-blind, parallel-group, double-dummy, active-controlled, event-driven study in patients with chronic HF and impaired kidney function who had a recent HF event. The aim is to evaluate the effect of balcinrenone/dapagliflozin vs dapagliflozin, given once daily on top of other classes of SoC, on CV death and HF events.
The primary objective of the study is to compare V940 plus pembrolizumab to placebo plus pembrolizumab with respect to disease-free survival (DFS) as assessed by the investigator. The primary hypothesis is that V940 plus pembrolizumab is superior to placebo plus pembrolizumab with respect to DFS.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of V940 in combination with pembrolizumab (MK-3475) compared to pembrolizumab alone as an adjuvant treatment for participants with pathologic high-risk muscle-invasive urothelial carcinoma (MIUC) after radical resection. The primary study hypothesis is that V940 in combination with pembrolizumab results in a superior disease-free survival (DFS) as assessed by the investigator compared to pembrolizumab alone in participants with high-risk MIUC after radical resection.
This is a two-part (Phase 2/Phase 3) study of V940, an individualized neoantigen therapy (INT), plus pembrolizumab in participants with locally resectable advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (LA cSCC). Phase 2 has three arms V940 plus pembrolizumab given as neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment with standard of care (SOC), standard of care (surgical resection with/without adjuvant radiation therapy (RT) only at investigator's discretion) and pembrolizumab monotherapy given as neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment with SOC. This phase will assess the safety and efficacy of V940 in combination with pembrolizumab as neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy in participants with resectable LA cSCC as compared to standard of care SOC only. The primary hypothesis is that V940 plus pembrolizumab with SOC is superior to SOC only with respect to event free survival (EFS) as assessed by the investigator. Phase 3 expansion will be determined by prespecified Go-No-Go decision in which 412 additional participants will be randomized to V940 plus pembrolizumab with SOC and SOC only, without changing the inclusion/exclusion criteria for the additional enrollment or study endpoints.
The primary objective of this study to evaluate the efficacy of ravulizumab compared with placebo to reduce proteinuria and slow the rate of eGFR decline in adult participants with IgAN who are at risk of disease progression.
This study will evaluate the effect of triple ICS/LAMA/LABA therapy with BGF MDI 320/14.4/9.6 μg on cardiopulmonary outcomes relative to LAMA/LABA therapy with GFF MDI 14.4/9.6 μg in a population with COPD and elevated cardiopulmonary risk.
ACT18018 is a multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, Phase 2 study with 3 treatment groups. The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficacy, safety and tolerability with 2 dosing regimens of itepekimab compared with placebo in male and/or female participants with NCFB aged 18 years of age up to 85 years of age (inclusive). Study details include: - The study duration (screening, 24-52-week treatment, 20-week safety follow-up) will be up to 47-77 weeks. - The treatment duration will be up to 24-52 weeks. - The follow-up duration will be 20 weeks. - Site/phone visits are at a monthly interval.
The purpose of this study is to measure the efficacy and safety of baxdrostat/dapagliflozin in participants ≥ 18 years of age with CKD and HTN. This study consists of a screening, a 4-week dapagliflozin run-in period for participants naïve to SGLT2i at baseline; a 24-month double-blind period in which participants will receive either baxdrostat/dapagliflozin or dapagliflozin; and a 6-week open-label period in which all participants will discontinue baxdrostat/placebo and receive dapagliflozin alone. Site visits will take place at 2-, 4-, 8-, and 16- weeks following randomisation. Thereafter visits will occur approximately every 4 months, until the 24-month visit at which time baxdrostat/placebo will be discontinued. Participants will continue open-label dapagliflozin for another 6-weeks (approximately), where reassessment of GFR will occur for the primary efficacy endpoint. In the event of premature discontinuation of blinded study intervention, participants will continue in the study and receive open-label dapagliflozin monotherapy, unless the participant meets dapagliflozin specific discontinuation criteria, in which case all study interventions will be discontinued.
Hip fractures in individuals aged 60 and above pose significant challenges in terms of morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. While countries like the United Kingdom and Australia have optimized their healthcare systems for timely management of hip fractures, the situation in Chile presents distinct challenges due to its mixed healthcare system. This study aims to assess survival rates following hip fractures in Chile and identify associated risk factors using national databases from 2012 to 2018. A comprehensive analysis of 35,520 patients revealed that factors such as age, type of health insurance, access to surgery, and treatment in public hospitals significantly influence mortality rates after hip fractures. The study found that patients with hip fractures experience lower 5-year survival rates compared to the general population, particularly when affiliated with public insurance and treated in public institutions. Modifiable factors like delayed surgery and prolonged hospital stays contribute to increased mortality rates. The findings underscore the urgent need for optimized public health policies and healthcare delivery systems to enhance outcomes for hip fracture patients in Chile.Hip fractures in individuals aged 60 and above pose significant challenges in terms of morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. The goal of this clinical trial is to test the efficacy of laser photobiomodulation in adult hematologic cancer patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The main questions it aims to answer are: • Is photobiomodulation with laser in the oral cavity, compared to standard care, effective in preventing oral mucositis and functional impairments in adult patients receiving HSCT? • What is the level of patient´s acceptability of photobiomodulation with laser in the oral cavity during HSCT? Participants once a day will receive photobiomodulation (diode laser device) in their oral cavity from the first day of transplantation conditioning until third day post-transplant. Researchers will compare with usual care to see if photobiomodulation helps preventing oral mucositis and functional impairment.
