View clinical trials related to Cardiovascular Stroke.
Filter by:All patients with orthotopic liver transplantation who are evaluated and followed at each participating centers will be recorded in this study. Within this register a characterization of patients and therapy will be done. Prognostic factors of defined clinical relevant endpoints will be evaluated.
Primary objective of the study will be to compare, up to 6 months after surgery, number of relapses (post operative re-bleeding) or intracerebral hemorrhage (others than subdural hematomas) and thromboembolic or cardiovascular ischemic events, in patients undergoing surgery for chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). These data will be correlated to the suspension or not of antithrombotics or anticoagulants before surgery or their re-introduction after surgery.
The proposed study will investigate the clinical use of the ISCDX test that may differentiate between diverse stroke etiologies as listed below: Aim 1: Differentiate between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic ischemic strokes, when hemorrhagic stroke is ruled out, as defined by TOAST classification of subtypes of acute ischemic stroke. Aim 2: In cases of ischemic strokes of unknown or "cryptogenic" etiology, determine the ability of biomarker blood tests to predict etiology between cardioembolic and large artery atherosclerotic.
