NCT ID: NCT05515835 Enrolling by invitation - Body Composition Clinical Trials

Relationship Between Effect Duration of Rocuronium and Body Composition Analysis Data.

Start date: September 5, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The induction dose of rocuronium is typically decided based on the patient's body weight, but the effect duration of rocuronium is variable. Some studies suggest that body composition analysis data, such as skeletal muscle mass or total body water, may correlate better with the duration time of rocuronium. Therefore, we plan to analyse body composition in patients undergoing total intravenous general anesthesia, give the patients a fixed dose (50mg) of rocuronium, and check the correlation between duration time of rocuronium and body composition analysis data.

Body Composition Analysis and Time to Emergence From Remimazolam

Start date: September 5, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Remimazolam is a novel general anesthetic drug. The time to emergence from remimazolam-based general anesthesia is variable among patients, but little is known about the risk factors for delayed emergence. We believe that information from body composition analysis may be helpful in understanding which patients are more likely to show delayed emergence from remimazolam.

NCT ID: NCT04400396 Enrolling by invitation - Prematurity Clinical Trials

Effect of Target Fortified Human Milk on the Growth Quality of Very Preterm Infants (TargetFort)

TargetFort
Start date: February 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is reported that the standard method for fortification of human milk (HM) overestimates the energy and protein densities of HM (Macedo MHNP 2018), thus originating infant undernutrition (Macedo AJP 2018). The target fortification, based on analysis of HM composition, is considered the gold-standard method (Rochow 2015, McLeod 2016). This observational mixed cohort study aims to assess if very preterm infants fed HM with target fortification have greater growth during hospital stay and better body composition at term post-menstrual age (PMA), than those fed HM with standard fortification.

NCT ID: NCT03587233 Enrolling by invitation - Obesity Clinical Trials

Are Women With Higher Professional Status More Sedentary Compared to Men?

Start date: October 7, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It is aimed to understand the gender differences on factors affecting the resting metabolic rate of people in different professional status. The relation between daily and weekly walking and sitting time, body mass index (kg/m2), Ponderal Index (kg/cm), waist-to-hip ratio of the participants will be searched. In this context, the demographic data (age, gender, neck and waist circumference (cm), occupation, education level) of the participants will be gathered with a questionnaire, specifically prepared for this study. The body composition analyses and International Physical Activity Level Questionnaire (IPAQ), Healthy Eating Index (HEI) will also be used to understand their body composition, physical activity level and eating habits, respectively. The data will be compared to understand the effects of education level and type of occupation on their physical activity level, as well as, the effects of trainings on adapting healthy behaviour of the participants as physical activity, healthy eating habits in relation to gender and professional status.
