NCT ID: NCT03536806 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Atrial Fibrillation, Paroxysmal

Clinical Efficacy of Potassium Canrenoate in Sinus Rhythm Restoration Among Patients With Atrial Fibrillation.

CANREN-AF
Start date: June 2018
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled, superiority clinical trial was to assess clinical efficacy of potassium canrenoate - canrenone in rapid conversion of atrial fibrillation to sinus rhythm.

NCT ID: NCT03323099 Completed - Clinical trials for Atrial Fibrillation Paroxysmal

Individualized Studies of Triggers of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

I-STOP-AFib
Start date: March 20, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The I-STOP-Afib study will test the comparative effectiveness of using N-of-1 trials vs. symptom surveillance alone to reduce Atrial Fibrillation (AF) episode frequency and severity and improve quality of life for AF patients. The study will involve randomizing almost 500 paroxysmal AF patients to either AF episode tracking versus engaging in testing the relationship between participant-selected triggers and AF episodes utilizing a mobile-app based N-of-1 study design. Both groups will complete a validated survey to assess AF severity, essentially a measure of quality of life while living with AF, before and after a 3 month testing period.

NCT ID: NCT03075930 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Atrial Fibrillation Recurrent

Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Registry

AFAB
Start date: January 12, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This is a single centre prospective data registry. In this study atrial conduction characteristics of extended surface Electrocardiograms (esECG), biomarkers and genetic analysis will be performed before ablation, before discharge and 3 months after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) and compared to routine clinical follow-up data. The objective of this registry is to establish a data registry of patients undergoing ablation of AF. Supplementary to the routine clinical diagnostic an esECG and an analysis of biomarkers will be performed and compared to clinical and outcome data.

NCT ID: NCT02553239 Terminated - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

CoolLoop Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

CoolLoop PAF
Start date: July 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical investigation evaluates the safety of cryoablation (sclerotherapy of muscle tissue of the heart by freezing) in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation with the newly developed CoolLoop® cryoablation catheter. A further aim of the investigation is the evaluation of the efficacy and average duration of the applied procedure.
