Filter by:This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of various treatment and retreatment regimens of MabThera. All patients will receive concomitant methotrexate, 10-25mg once weekly either orally or parenterally. The anticipated time on study treatment is 2+ years, and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of etanercept with usual disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) therapy in the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA) over 16 weeks in the Asia Pacific region.
This study compared the safety and efficacy of combination therapy with adalimumab plus methotrexate (MTX) to that of MTX monotherapy (i.e., placebo plus MTX) in subjects with early rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Growth retardation is well known in patients with severe forms of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Especially those who were under additional treatment with glucocorticoids for high disease activity. The hypothesis is, that treatment with growth hormone can, at leat in part, overcome growth hormone resistance state and increase final height. In a controlled study we follow patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis with and without growth hormone treatment until final height. Additionally, we are interested in bone density development in those treated with growth hormone.
The only trial in participants who are methotrexate-inadequate responders and have active Rheumatoid Arthritis, in which gadolinium-enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Bone Mineral Density; and biochemical markers of bone, cartilage, and synovial tissue metabolism are used to evaluate early effects (4 months) of Abatacept on inflammation/structural damage. Study will provide valuable mechanism-of-action information on how Abatacept exerts its effects (including on bone) through new techniques.
SB-681323 is a p38 MAP-kinase inhibitor that has potential uses in inflammatory conditions such as RA. Previous p38 MAP-kinase inhibitors have been hindered in development by liver toxicity. Methotrexate (common treatment for RA patients) also has potential liver toxicity. This study was an enabling study to determine the safety of co-administration of the two compounds with respect to liver function
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a once-weekly dose of etanercept for rheumatoid arthritis. Currently, patients in Japan can only use 25 mg etanercept two times a week. If a once-a-week regimen of 50 mg is approved, this would be more convenient for most patients. This once-weekly regimen is used in countries outside of Japan.
The purpose of this study is to follow the health of subjects who have previously been enrolled in studies of CP-690,550 for treatment of their rheumatoid arthritis. Subjects are only eligible for this study after they have completed all participation in other studies of CP-690,550.
The purpose of this study is to determine the long-term effectiveness and safety of CP-690,550 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Subjects are eligible for this study only after participating in another "qualifying" study of CP-690,550 A sub-study will be conducted within the A3921024 study, this study will evaluate the immune response to pneumococcal and influenza vaccines in patients receiving CP-690,550
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness and safety, over 6 months, of 6 dose regimens of CP-690,550, combined with methotrexate, for the treatment of adults with active rheumatoid arthritis.
