Filter by:The goal of this multicenter, observational cohort study is to evaluates the clinical effectiveness of a single-renal scallop custom-made stent-graft (TREO, Terumo Aortic, Sunrise, FL) to treat "hostile" AAA with mismatched renal arteries as actual standard of care in this Vascular Unit The main question it aims to answer are: if a dedicated devices could improve the results in the endovascular treatment of patients suffering to infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurism with a mismatched takeoff of the renal arteries. Participants responding to inclusion criteria will be treated as best clinical practice with a custom made device with a single scallop for the renal artery. The minimum follow-up requested, as standard clinical practice, was: 3-months, 12-18 months- and 5-years CTA; clinical and DUS examination at 6- and 12- and 36-months after the intervention and yearly thereafter. No comparison group was present.
This project seeks to determine if certain anatomic factors, specifically tortuous and non-conformable iliac arteries, may predict device complications, including seal zone failure, type III endoleak, and occlusion. Approximately 400 subjects from 5 academic centers across the United States, Europe, and Asia will be included in this study. Various markers of pre- and post-treatment iliac anatomy will be measured using CT imaging, and clinical events will be reported by academic centers. The relationship of imaging data to patient demographics will then be assessed alongside anatomic and demographic predictors of non-conformability.
Pre-emptive abdominal aortic aneurysm sac embolization during endovascular abdominal aortic repair for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm - Randomized study
Objective Complex aortic pathology has been revolutionized with the use of hybrid prostheses such as the Thoraflex® Hybrid Frozen Elephant Trunk (FET). The aim of this study was to evaluate the midterm results of secondary extension of the FET by thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). Few data are present in the literature regarding the outcomes of this secondary treatment. The investigators perform a prospective study between 2015 and 2022 in a tertiary aortic center on all consecutive patients having undergone TEVAR after FET implantation. The TEVAR endograft covered most of the 10 cm FET module with 2 to 4 mm oversizing. All patients were monitored by computerized angiography (CTA) at 6-month and yearly thereafter. The aim of this study was the feasibility of theses secondary connexion and the mid term outcomes of the endovascular treatment.
The purpose of this PMCF study is to evaluate a minimum of 125 subjects in 1 or 2 sites in France at least 1-year follow-up after surgery until a maximum of 5 years in the indication of abdominal and peripheral arterial surgery not crossing the knee flexion crease. the objectives of the evaluation will describe safety and performance of POLYMAILLE® EXTRA THIN.
Purpose of the study is to describe safety and performance of POLYMAILLE® C from a minimum of 200 subjects will be evaluated. A minimum of 100 subjects will be evaluated for each main location of surgery (abdominal and peripheral). Follow-up At least 1 year follow-up after surgery until a maximum of 5 years. POLYMAILLE®C vascular prostheses are indicated for replacement or bypass of arteries presenting aneurysm or obliterative arterial disease. Their indication is restricted to abdominal and peripheral surgery not crossing the knee flexion crease.
The HERCULES trial is a Randomized controlled clinical trial designed to prospectively compare endosuture aneurysm repair (ESAR) to standard endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) clinical outcomes in treatment of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) in subjects having wide proximal aortic neck diameters (≥ 28mm and ≤ 32mm).
Coronary artery disease (CAD) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) are two separate entities with common risk factors such as hypertension, advanced age, male sex. Atherosclerosis plays an important role in the etiology of both diseases. It has been reported that AAA is more prevalent in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Despite all the evidence, current guidelines do not recommend routine screening for AAA before CABG. Syntax score shows anatomical significance of CAD and is associated with the degree of atherosclerotic load. The investigators aim to investigate if there were any differences regarding AAA prevalence in high-SYNTAX patients versus intermediate/low-SYNTAX patients.
Prospective, randomized, multi-center study designed to evaluate the outcomes of commercially available contemporary EVAR in a real-world population. Patients will be randomized into two device cohorts and compared across the primary endpoints. Patients will be followed procedurally to discharge, at 1, 6, 12 months and annually through to 5 years (total follow-up commitment).
A retrospective cohort study of computed tomography scans of AAA patients considered for repair, in order to identify sex specific differences in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) metrics and the association between anatomical differences/features of complexity and adverse patient outcome.
