NCT ID: NCT00335452 Completed - Angina Unstable Clinical Trials

Clopidogrel Optimal Loading Dose Usage to Reduce Recurrent EveNTs/Optimal Antiplatelet Strategy for InterventionS

CURRENT/OASIS7
Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether a higher dosage of clopidogrel with aspirin (two doses) will decrease the risk of ischemic complications (cardiac death (CV death), myocardial infarction (MI), stroke) after a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

NCT ID: NCT00330928 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

SPECTACL: SPECTroscopic Assessment of Coronary Lipid

SPECTACL
Start date: January 2006
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy system that has been designed to identify the chemical composition of coronary artery plaques in patients undergoing a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

NCT ID: NCT00327418 Completed - Clinical trials for Cerebrovascular Accident

CARDS Is Designed To Show If Lowering Cholesterol With Atorvastatin In Type 2 Diabetics Without CV Disease Reduces The Risk Of CV Events

CARDS
Start date: January 1997
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

A study to assess the efficacy of once daily atorvastatin 10 mg versus placebo on cardiovascular endpoints in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) who have a history of either hypertension, retinopathy, microalbuminuria, macroalbuminuria, or who currently smoke, but who do not have established corornary heart disease or other macrovascular disease.

NCT ID: NCT00317512 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Pilot Study of Hemoglobin Based Oxygen Therapeutics in Elective Coronary Revascularization

Start date: December 2003
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and feasibility of a novel oxygen carrying solution, HBOC-201, in the setting of PCI for Acute Coronary Syndromes from randomization til hospital discharge.

NCT ID: NCT00299143 Completed - Angina, Unstable Clinical Trials

Pilot Study on Shear-induced Platelet Aggregation in Acute Coronary Syndromes

REACS
Start date: June 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to determine whether shear-induced platelet aggregation is able to discriminate first acute coronary syndrome (ACS) from recurrent ACS

NCT ID: NCT00285922 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Novel Method to Diagnose Acute Myocardial Ischemia

Start date: August 2001
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to improve the detection of heart attack in people who come to a hospital emergency room (ER) with cardiac symptoms. We are testing a novel technology that calculates the heart's electrical activity at points all around the upper body torso and develops a map showing areas indicating heart attack. Our hypothesis is that this new body mapping technique will be better than the standard electrocardiogram (ECG) in detecting heart attack.

NCT ID: NCT00281346 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Myocardial Infarction

Non-invasive Diagnosis of Coronary Artery Stenoses by Doppler Echocardiography

Start date: December 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Non-invasive evaluation of patients with stable angina and unstable coronary syndromes with transthoracic Doppler echocardiography to evaluate presence of significant coronary stenoses. Blinded evaluation and comparison with coronary angiography: presence and location of stenoses, and head to head comparison of clinical value and patient classification.

NCT ID: NCT00276432 Completed - Unstable Angina Clinical Trials

Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Coronary Syndrome in the ED & the Impact of Rapid Bedside cTnl on Outcome.

Start date: November 2005
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The primary outcome in this study will be time to discharge for low-risk patients and therapeutic turnaround time for patients with NSTEMI or unstable angina.

NCT ID: NCT00269906 Completed - Angina, Unstable Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Abciximab, an Anti-Platelet Therapy, in Patients With Unstable Angina Not Responding to Standard Medical Therapy Who Are Eligible for Coronary Angioplasty

Start date: May 1993
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of abciximab, an anti-platelet therapy, versus placebo in patients with unstable angina who are not responding to standard medical therapy and who are eligible for coronary angioplasty.

NCT ID: NCT00269893 Completed - Angina, Unstable Clinical Trials

A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Abciximab, an Anti-platelet Therapy, in Patients Undergoing High-risk Coronary Angioplasty

Start date: November 1991
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of abciximab (an anti-platelet therapy) versus placebo in patients undergoing high risk coronary angioplasty.
