Filter by:This study evaluates the addition of heparin to a 2-week cycle of physical rehabilitation in the treatment of refractory angina. Half of the patients will undergo heparin-primed physical rehabilitation, while the other half will undergo only physical rehabilitation.
Investigators adopt cross-sectional study design to carry out the exemplary research in the aspects of disease diagnosis.This study is designed to confirm the hypothesis "acupoint sensitization is associated with a severity of angina pectoris, which may contribute to the diagnosis of stable angina pectoris". After the eligible participants recruited in group, the coronary artery lesions will be evaluated through coronary angiography and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society(CCS) angina pectoris classification will also be evaluated at the same time. The degree of acupoint sensitization will be tested by the electronic Von Frey instrument by one professional acupuncturist with total 12 acupoints, including Shenmen,Yinxi, Shaohao,Jiquan,Neiguan, Ximen, Quze, Shanzhong, Juque, Jueyinyu, Xinyu, Duyu. Analysis were conducted to explore relationships between the degree of acupoint sensitization, the degree of coronary artery stenosis and CCS angina pectoris classification. Diagnostic value will be further analyzed in the final step.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of cardiovascular rehabilitation in Patients with refractory angina, evaluate the effect of cardiovascular rehabilitation in patients with angina Refractory, by maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) and global myocardial ischemic load by Stress Echocardiography; To evaluate the presence of myocardial injury, caused by physical stress, through ultra-sensitive troponin after sessions of aerobic physical activity, evaluating the behavior during the training period; To evaluate the effect of rehabilitation on the modulation of sympathetic activity and inflammation, muscular blood flow and lipid metabolism; To evaluate of the effect of rehabilitation on ventricular function through Stress echocardiography; Detection of ischemic episodes and arrhythmias identified during the Rehabilitation sessions through external cardiac monitoring (telemetry); Evaluate the quality of life assessment through the SF-36 questionnaire, Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the number of symptomatic episodes of ischemia, daily sublingual nitrate intake.
Angina is form of chest pain that is due to a lack of blood to the heart muscle. Angina is commonly triggered by stress and exertion, and is a common health problem worldwide. The diagnosis and treatment of angina is usually focused on detection of blockages in heart arteries, and relief of this problem with drugs, stents or bypass surgery. However, about one third of all invasive angiograms that are performed in patients with angina do not reveal any blockages. Many of such patients may have symptoms due to narrowings in the very small micro vessels (too small to be seen on an angiogram). The purpose of this research is to undertake a 'proof-of-concept' clinical trial to gather information as to whether routine tests of small vessel function in the heart might help identify patients with a stable coronary syndrome due to a disorder of coronary function (vasospastic or microvascular angina), and appropriately rule out this problem in patients with normal test results. The diagnostic strategy enables stratification of patient sub-groups to optimized therapy (personalised medicine). Evidence of patient benefits in this study would support the plan for a larger study that would be designed to impact on healthcare costs and patient reported outcome measures (PROMS).
A multi-center, prospective, consecutive enrolled, observational registry. The population being studied includes all patients undergoing treatment of "de novo" lesions in native coronary vessels, saphenous vein graft and/or arterial bypass conduits with the COBRA PzF coronary stent system. The registry will primarily assess the rate of MACE (cardiac death, myocardial infarction and clinically driven target lesion revascularization.

The primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the performance of StatSeal Advanced used in conjunction with the TR Band (SSA) as compared to the TR Band without SSA (TRB) relative to: the incidence of peri-procedural radial artery occlusion (RAO) at discharge or 24 hours, whichever occurs first, and the Time to Hemostasis (TTH).
The investigators prospectively want to compare 3 clinical tests for measuring blood troponin levels in patients presenting to the emergency room with thoracic pain probably related to a myocardial infarction with regard to the time necessary to obtain the test results. The tests are one laboratory based test and two point of care tests.
