NCT ID: NCT05843383 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Complications

Comparison of Ciprofol-based and Propofol-based Total Intravenous Anesthesia on Postoperative Quality of Recovery

Start date: May 16, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Ciprofol is a novel 2,6-disubstituted phenol derivatives and is proved have much higher potency and tighter binding toward ɣ-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor while maintaining a fast on-set and recovery time compared to propofol. Except lower incidence of hypotension and respiratory depression, it has no injection pain and infusion syndrome compared with propofol. There is no study to investigate overall postoperative functional recovery in patients receiving total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) using ciprofol yet. However, according to study, early quality of recovery according to QoR-15 score is associated with one-month postoperative complications after elective surgery. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine whether there is any difference in the quality of postoperative recovery between ciprofol-based and propofol-based TIVA in elderly patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery. The QoR-15 questionnaire score, pain, nausea/vomiting, and the frequency of complications are evaluated and compared between the two groups.

NCT ID: NCT05406102 Not yet recruiting - Safety Clinical Trials

Remimazolam Improves the Safety in Elderly Patients Undergoing Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Start date: July 10, 2022
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Gastroenteroscopy diagnosis and treatment drugs need to meet the needs of quick onset, quick recovery and less anesthesia complications. Remimazolam is an anesthetic sedative independently developed by China. It is a new short-acting GABA(A) receptor agonist. Remimazolam has the advantages of rapid onset, rapid recovery, antagonist, controllable degree of cardiovascular and respiratory depression, low incidence of hypotension and respiratory depression. However, elderly patients as important and special patients, there are still a lack of relevant studies and reports. In order to verify the safety and effectiveness of remimazolam in the gastroenteroscopy treatment of elderly patients, it can reduce the incidence of intraoperative hypotension or respiratory depression rate, improve the quality of recovery of elderly patients.

NCT ID: NCT04865783 Completed - Catheterization Clinical Trials

Cryospray to Reduce Pain During Venous Cannulation

Start date: May 25, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial aims to evaluate if cryospray can reduce pain during intravenous cannulation in elective surgery compared to a placebo spray.

NCT ID: NCT03741361 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

The Impact of Anxiety or Depression on the Sedative Concentration of Propofol

Start date: November 27, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

120 consecutive female patients, 18-65 years old, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I to II, scheduled for hysteroscopic surgery under propofol-based intravenous anesthesia will be recruited in this cohort study. The day before surgery, participants will be assessed the state of preoperative anxiety and depression. On the day of surgery, propofol will be administered by target controlled infusion (TCI) pump. During induction of anesthesia, the level of sedation will be evaluated. The induction dose of propofol, target effect-site concentration(Cet), plasma concentration(Cp) and effect-site concentration (Ce) of propofol will be recorded.

NCT ID: NCT03568396 Completed - Opioid Use Clinical Trials

Validation of Pupillary Response to Nociceptive Stimulation in Cardiac Surgery During Extracorporeal Circulation Period

DOLOCEC
Start date: August 22, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The relationship between the target effect site concentration of remifentanil and the pupil diameter and reactivity in response to a standard noxious stimulus in cardiac surgery during extra corporeal circulation will be evaluated.

NCT ID: NCT02566733 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Minto Model in Effect Site Mode for Target-Controlled Infusion of Remifentanil During Cardiopulmonary Bypass

Start date: October 2015
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Target controlled infusion with remifentanil is widely used during cardiac surgery, wich is performed using the Minto model. It was derived from patients undergoing general surgery. However, pharmacokinetics of remifentanil can be changed during cardiopulmonary bypass. The investigators tested whether Minto model for target controlled infusion produces constant plasma remifentanil concentration during the cardiac surgery.
