NCT ID: NCT05746936 Completed - Obesity, Morbid Clinical Trials

Robotic Versus Laparoscopic Roux En-y Gastric Bypass

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study retrospectively identified 33 consecutive obese patients who underwent either laparoscopic or robotic gastric bypass procedures over a 2-year period.

NCT ID: NCT04724174 Completed - Pancreatic Fistula Clinical Trials

Pancreaticogastrostomy for High-Risk Pancreas

GASTROPAN
Start date: June 1, 2013
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In 2013, a double purse-string telescoped pancreaticogastrostomy (PG) technique appeared to significantly reduce the risk of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF). This study compared the incidence of clinically relevant POPF in patients with high-risk anastomosis after undergoing PG or pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ) techniques.

NCT ID: NCT04504656 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Post-Op Complication

Comparison of Early Outcomes of Minimally Invasive Surgery for Oesophageal Replacement Versus Open Surgery in Children

Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

a comparative prospective study of postoperative between minimally invasive and open surgery complications for esophageal replacement in children

NCT ID: NCT04270721 Recruiting - Anastomotic Leak Clinical Trials

ESCP Safe Anastomosis proGramme in coLorectal surgEry

EAGLE
Start date: February 3, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

EAGLE is an international service improvement study to investigate the value of an educational tool delivered to surgeons and their teams to reduce the risk of anastomotic leak (leak of a join in the bowel) after right hemicolectomy or ileocaecal resection. This complication causes significant risk to life and therefore risks of leak should be minimised. The educational team of the European Society of Coloproctology has developed an online training package to deliver to 350 hospitals in 30 countries.

NCT ID: NCT03148054 Recruiting - Colon Disease Clinical Trials

Computed Tomography vs. Endoscopy Study

Start date: February 17, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Patients undergoing elective surgery for left-sided colon resection are asked to participate in this study: Every patient undergoes two types of examinations (endoscopy, CT scan) on day 3, 4 or 5 postoperatively. These two procedures are subject to investigation in terms of their accuracy (sensitivity, specificity) in detection of anastomotic leaks. The patients are followed up until day 42 postoperatively. There are no other specific tests or examinations within the study. Information and informed consent are obtained preoperatively.
