Filter by:In this study the investigators will evaluate the effectiveness of Mindhelper.dk, which is the most comprehensive online youth mental health promotion service in Denmark. A minimum of 9,426 young people aged 15 to 25 will be recruited through social media and invited to participate in the study. When responding to the baseline questionnaire participants will be randomized to either the intervention or control group. The intervention group will receive information about Mindhelper.dk and inspiration on how to use Mindhelper through text-messages during the study period. The control group does not receive information about Mindhelper.dk, until after completion of the last follow-up questionnaire. Three follow-up questionnaires will then be sent to the participants 2 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks after randomization. The investigators expect a small, positive effect on participants well-being and psychological functioning in intervention groups as compared to the control group.
The primary objective of this study is to determine the safety and feasibility of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) -assisted psychotherapy to treat resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The secondary objectives are the exploration of effectiveness for treatment-resistant PTSD, symptoms of depression, and anxiety symptoms.
The starting point of this project is to study young people and adolescents, aiming to explore the correlation between non-suicidal behavior of young people and adolescents and the negative emotional expression of their parents and family communication. The purpose of this project is to investigate the non-suicidal self-injury behavior of teenagers aged 15-25 years by issuing questionnaires (sample size: 327 people). In order to find out whether there is any connection between family communication and non-suicidal self-injury behavior of young people and adolescents.
A multi-school, two-arm parallel cluster-randomized controlled trial will be conducted in 200 healthy young adolescents from Barcelona (Spain) to evaluate the effect of peanut consumption on cognitive performance, weight management and inflammation. Schools willing to participate will be randomly assigned to either the intervention or the control group. After the recruitment, the participants will follow a peanut-free diet for two weeks. Both arms will receive a multidimensional educational intervention designed by the Gasol Foundation to promote healthy dietary habits based on Mediterranean diet recommendations, along with exercise performance, healthy sleeping habits and emotional knowledge. Half of the participants (intervention group) will consume 25 g of whole skin roasted peanuts as a daily snack to be incorporated into their diet for six months.
