Filter by:This phase II trial tests whether pembrolizumab combined with bevacizumab with or without agonist anti-CD40 CDX-1140 works to shrink tumors in patients with ovarian cancer that has come back (recurrent). Anti-CD40 CDX-1140 works by stimulating certain immune cells within the tumor and, when combined with other immunotherapy treatments, may increase antitumor antibody production. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab and bevacizumab, may help the body's immune system, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving pembrolizumab and bevacizumab with anti-CD40 CDX-1140 may decrease symptoms, prolonged survival, and improve quality of life in patients with ovarian cancer.
Pancreatic carcinoma is ranked the 11th most common cancer worldwide. It is a highly lethal malignant tumor. In Egypt, the disease has traditionally been considered rare, but population in the East Nile Delta region exhibits an unusually high rate of young-onset pancreatic carcinoma. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is by far the most common histologic subtype of pancreatic malignancy. Programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) is a type I trans-membrane glycoprotein. It has an important prognostic and predictive value in various neoplasms. To date, few studies have addressed the potential prognostic role of PD-L1 in pancreatic carcinoma, so knowledge about its prognostic value needs further elucidation.
Lung carcinoma is the second most common cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. In Egypt, lung carcinoma ranks the 5th among all cancer cases. Malignant mesothelioma is an aggressive neoplasm that arises from mesothelial cells which form the lining of the pleural. There is a strong resemblance between epithelioid mesothelioma and lung adenocarcinoma, some of peripheral lung adenocarcinoma or SCC present with pleurotropic growth like mesothelioma. Glypican-1 (GPC1) is one the six glypican family members. It is one of cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans that acts as a growth factor signaling. The aim of this study is to evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of Glypican-1 in pleural epitheloid mesothelioma, lung adenocarcinoma and lung SCC
The purpose of the dose escalation phase is to evaluate the safety profile of escalating doses and dose schedules of NXP800. In the expansion phase the preliminary efficacy in subjects with ARID1a mutated ovarian clear cell and ovarian endometrioid cancers will be estimated.
Colorectal carcinoma is one of the most aggressive malignant epithelial neoplasms affecting the gastrointestinal tract. The incidence of colorectal carcinoma is obviously increasing in developing countries, where the physical inactivity and the consumption of animal fat-rich food became more evident. Colorectal tumorigenesis is a multistep process which is initiated by adenoma and is terminated by carcinoma, the latter shows variable degrees of tumor differentiation and invasiveness. During the adenoma-carcinoma process; a series of genetic mutations occur. Detection of these genetic mutations will help in the development of novel therapeutic agents, which in turn will improve patients' outcomes. Cortactin (CTTN) is a Src kinase substrate, encoded by a gene located on chromosome 11. CTTN binds to and activates Arp 2/3 and stabilizes the dynamic actin assembly after its formation. So, it become clear that CTTN is involved in the formation of the leading-edges cellular protrusions.
The SOX regimen has became the standard perioperative chemotherapy for locally advanced gastric cancer; The immune checkpoint inhibitors have become a standard treatment for advanced or metastatic gastric cancer; For HER2-positive locally advanced gastric cancer, some phase II studies have shown that chemotherapy combined with trastuzumab can further improve the pathological remission rate; This prospective phase II clinical trial was designed, using SOX combined with sintilimab and trastuzumab to treat HER2 positive locally advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma patients.
Short-course radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy may bring revolutionary changes to the preoperative neoadjuvant treatment mode for locally advanced rectal cancer. According to the existing theory, the use of PD-L1 monoclonal antibody after short-course radiotherapy may be the best solution. In this study, the investigators will perform single-cell sequencing of participants tissue samples, fully explore the multi-dimensional omics information of tumors and microenvironments, explore the characteristics of the treatment benefit population, and try to construct an efficacy prediction model to screen the treatment benefit population early and implement precise treatment.
Cervical cancer is one of the most common tumors in women, which seriously threatens women's life quality and safety. Human papilloma virus (HPV) infection is the most common cause of cervical cancer. Traditional HPV testing is based on the cells sample shed from the cervix. Recent studies have shown that urine HPV detection can be used as a new HPV detection method. This study intends to include patients undergoing TCT /HPV test/colposcopy in the department of gynecological diseases of the hospital, and collect urine samples and cervical swab samples. Sanger sequencing and cervical swab HPV test results were compared to evaluate the accuracy and clinical validity of urine HPV test combined with clinical diagnosis results of cases.
This study is a single-arm, phase I trial, up to 16 participants with resectable PDA. The study will examine the efficacy of the mutant IDH1 inhibitor ivosidenib, in conjunction with standard-of-care mFOLFIRINOX in the neoadjuvant setting.
This study will find the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of CYNK-101 which contains Natural Killer (NK) cells derived from human placental CD34+ cells and culture-expanded. CYNK-101 will be administered as first-line treatment, following induction therapy consisting of Pembrolizumab, Trastuzumab and a Fluoropyrimidine / Platinum based Chemotherapy regimen. Patients are required to undergo a biopsy for confirmation of HER2 positivity defined as either IHC 3+ or IHC 2+ with a positive fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) or FISH + alone. The safety of this treatment will be evaluated, and researchers will want to learn if NK cells will help in treating patients with Locally Advanced Unresectable or Metastatic HER2-Positive Gastric or Gastroesophageal Junction (G/GEJ) Adenocarcinoma.
