NCT ID: NCT06230016 Recruiting - Childhood Cancer Clinical Trials

Adhesion of Children and Adolescents Treated for Cancer to Personalized Support in Adapted Physical Activity Program

APADHOP
Start date: February 16, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Adapted physical activity session with a formed professional is proposed in standard care since 2022 in the immuno-hematological service to all children with newly diagnosed cancer or relapse. The aim of this study is to keep the children in the APA programm during all the treatment lenght. This study aims to evaluate by questionnaires the motivation keys and restraint from children and parents before the APA program starts (at diagnosis or relapse if not previously participating to an APA programm) and after 4 to 6 months of APA programm. The final expected fallout is to enhance children adhesion to long term APA program by implementing tools in current practice to overcome restraints from young patients and their parents

NCT ID: NCT05548686 Not yet recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Benefits of Adapted Physical Activity for Chronic Osteoarticular Pain in Patients With Multiple Myeloma

ALGOMYELOMOV
Start date: November 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Pain is one of the most frequent symptoms leading patients to consult a doctor, particularly in rheumatology and cancerology. When it becomes chronic, pain is the cause of a major emotional and physical invasion, with harmful repercussions on the family, social and professional levels. It is therefore necessary to be able to propose different therapies. For many years, non-medicinal techniques have been proving their benefits and their central role in the treatment of chronic pain. Physical activity has been widely demonstrated in the literature to have considerable physical benefits (reduced risk of hypertension, vascular accidents, diabetes, improved bone condition, weight control, etc.) but also psychological benefits. However, according to the WHO, nearly 31% of adults aged 15 and over were not physically active in 2008. Physical inactivity is considered the 4th leading risk factor for death in the world. It is estimated to be the main cause of 21 to 25% of breast and colon cancers. The investigators therefore propose a feasibility study, interventional, with minimal risks and constraints, evaluating the effectiveness of adapted physical activity in chronic pain related to a pathology little studied in this field of management: multiple myeloma. This study will include about 15 patients with residual pain 3 months after the end of their induction chemotherapy treatment. Adapted Physical Activity sessions will be performed for 12 weeks. The evaluation of the expected benefits on pain and its consequences (cognitive, emotional, behavioral, physical ...) will be done through simple and validated questionnaires as well as on the evolution of the consumption of analgesics. The expected duration of the study will be one year.

NCT ID: NCT05475600 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

APA and Relaxation by Biofeedback in Patients With Haematological Malignancy Admitted in ICU

APAER_H
Start date: December 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Adapted Physical Activity (APA) is accepted as an effective, recommended and beneficial supportive care for the health of people with cancer during the different phases of the disease. The objective of the project is to analyse the effect of APA programs (Classic, Exergaming and Relaxation) on the state anxiety of people with severe blood diseases admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Anxiety is a major affect in this context. The interest of the practice of APA for this public is to reduce the level of state anxiety and to limit the decline of functional capacities. The main objective of this work is to identify whether specific and/or complementary effects result from the use of biofeedback and/or Exergaming.

NCT ID: NCT04716322 Recruiting - Physical Activity Clinical Trials

Health-Enhancing Adapted Physical Activity Program at "Mon Stade"

SESAME
Start date: January 28, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Introduction: Regular practice of exercise or physical activity (PA) is a recognized intervention as a determinant of good health acquisition, maintenance, or recovery for a large number of chronic pathologies. Nevertheless, few studies have evaluated adherence to an initial health-adapted PA (APA) program, and persistence of active behavior over the time in individuals with a chronic disease. The aim of the study is to determine the brakes and levers associated with motivation and long-term compliance. In addition, the investigators aim to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of such program in term of care consumption. Finally, the investigators complete their interest for APA prescription from practitioners agreeing to enroll their patients in the present study. Method: The investigators perform a prospective monocentric cohort, of 2024 patients affected of a chronic disease or long-term illness (LTI), enrolled from 2021 to 2024 (4 years, 506 per year), for a 16-week APA program, and followed 5 years with an annual fitness and habits of life and care consumption evaluation.
