Filter by:The purpose of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) profile and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of TIN816 in hospitalized adult participants in an intensive care setting with a diagnosis of sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI).
The purpose of this study was to analyze if a low ankle dorsiflexion range is associate with dynamic knee valgus in youth basketball players.
This is a three arm study, comparing the Novadress, Mepilex Ag, and Xeroform Occlusive dressings for healing, drainage, and pain management. NovaDress is constructed of pure cellulose derived from tree pulp. Mepilex Ag is a antimicrobial foam dressing that absorbs low to moderate exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. Xeroform Occlusive Dressing is a fine-mesh gauze impregnated with a petrolatum blend, 3% bismuth tribromophenate.
The main aim of our study was to test the hypothesis that Erector spine plane block (ESP) with sedation will provide the similar employment of fentanyl and propofol during surgery as an infiltrative local anaesthesia with sedation. The primary endpoint was the quantity of fentanyl and propofol during surgery.
The aim of this retrospective study is to review the annual incidence, management, and outcomes of bile duct injuries (BDI) during laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) in a population-based cohort during 2008-2018 in Estonia.
This study is a one-arm pilot study. All patients were recruited on an outpatient basis. After screening visits and informed consent was obtained, debridement and photography were performed on the patient's wound surface, and the wound area was measured. Patients in the intervention group were then provided with adipose tissue exosome dressings.200-300ml of the subject adipose tissue before centrifugation was collected, and the extracellular vesicles were retained after tissue homogenate and filter screening. The extracellular vesicles were mixed with sterile hydrogel and applied directly to the wound surface, and the wound was covered with an inert protective dressing.
The primary objective of the study is to analysis the personal determination factors (age, sex, stage of injury, pain, urinary continence and durations of spinal cord injury) and environmental determination factors (need for medical devices, nurse care and adaptation of accommodations) which affect the quality of life and their occupations on patients with medullar injury.
Primary goal of the research is to determine whether injury/illness occurrence is influenced by the academic, training and competition loads, as well as the overall load (sum of academic/work, training and competition loads) in elite handball athletes To examine whether subjective measures of perceived overall stress correlate with objectively measured levels of stress. Determine the benefits of certain biomarkers to monitor stress, load and injury/illness occurrence in athletes.
This study aims to assess the feasibility of assessing acute brain injury using a portable low field MRI in patients on ECMO.
This is a single-center proof-of-concept clinical trial designed to establish the feasibility of transvenous phrenic-nerve stimulation (PNS) to maintain diaphragm activation over the first 24 hours and for up to seven days of mechanical ventilation in patients who are likely to require more than 48 hours of invasive mechanical ventilation.
