Filter by:The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of recanalization of acute and subacute femoropopliteal stent occlusions with the Rotarex S catheter (Straub Medical)
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the results of drug eluting balloon are non-inferior to the Nitinol stent implantation in the femoropopliteal segment.
The objective of this clinical investigation is to evaluate, in a controlled setting, the long-term (up to 12 months) safety and efficacy of the BeGraft Peripheral Stent Graft System (Bentley InnoMed) in clincial settings post CE-certification when used according to the indications of the IFU.
The objective of this clinical investigation is to evaluate the short- and long-term (up to 24 months) outcome of treatment by means of dilation with the Passeo-18 Lux drug releasing balloon and by Pulsar-18 stent implantation in symptomatic (Rutherford 2-4) femoro-popliteal arterial stenotic or occlusive lesions.
The purpose of this trial is to assess the effects of colchicine on vascular inflammation measured by (FDG)-PET imaging in patients with atherosclerotic vascular disease. This effect will also be measured by soluble plasma biomarkers. Finally, an optional pharmacogenomic investigation will be performed to identify genetic biomarkers of patient response.
The main aim of the study is to investigate the effects of dietary ingredients (polyphenols and carotenoids) on vascular function during acute glucose load. Each subject will receive 4 weeks of intervention with test product or placebo product after a dietary restriction run-in period of 14 days. Subjects will be challenged with an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) immediately after the run-in phase and at the end of the intervention phase. During the OGTT, blood samples will be taken at regular intervals. The study will be conducted in subjects with impaired glucose tolerance.
This study is intended to collect safety and effectiveness data on the Cook Injectable Small Intestinal Submucosa (SIS)
The investigators use MRI and/or CT to evaluate the extent, as well as, the structure, composition, and functional aspects of atherosclerotic plaques in human carotid and femoral arteries in patients scheduled to undergo an endarterectomy of the aforementioned vascular beds as part of their routine clinical care.
This is a multi-center, randomized, blinded, placebo controlled study to evaluate the safety of GSK1278863 and its acute and short-term (e.g. 14d) effects on calf muscle endurance and walking ability in subjects with PAD and symptomatic claudication.
The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of cardiac and cerebral involvements in patients with idiopathic thrombotic microangiopathies on diagnosis. Patients will be assessed for cardiac involvement (troponin Ic level and cardiac ultrasonography) and cerebral involvement (cerebral MRI). The investigators will assess whether serum troponin Ic on diagnosis can predict morbidity and mortality of patients with a thrombotic microangiopathy at the acute phase. The primary outcome measurement is the event free survival at day 30, as defined by death, myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia, severe cerebral injury and disease exacerbation. An increase in troponin Ic on diagnosis is defined as at least one result above 0.2 ng/ml among the three daily analyses performed after TMA diagnosis.
