Diabetic Foot Ulcer and Wound Infection

The goal of the study is to compare whether an integrated model of care between Foot Wound and Diabetes Clinic with use of remote glucose monitoring technology (Intervention Arm), as compared with usual care without the use of remote glucose monitoring technology (Control Arm), will result in 1) improved glycemic control, 2) improved ulcer and wound healing, 3) improved patient reported outcomes (PROs), 4) reduced long-term healthcare resource utilization, and 5) improved adherence to anti-glycemic therapy for patients with DFUWI and poor glycemic control over the course of a 6-month intervention period.

The Clinical Value of Chromoendoscopy as Surveillance Strategy for Dysplasia Detection in Ulcerative Colitis

A recent multicentre randomised controlled trial compared autofluorescence imaging (AFI) with CE for dysplasia detection in colonoscopy surveillance of patients with longstanding UC (FIND-UC). In this study, CE detected significantly more dysplastic lesions per patient compared with AFI. It is unclear whether this increased dysplasia detection also translates to a reduction of dysplasia at follow-up colonoscopy. The aim of this pre-specified study is therefore to prospectively determine whether there is a difference in dysplasia detection at follow-up colonoscopy between UC patients who were randomized to AFI or CE at index colonoscopy for the FIND-UC trial.

The study is a randomised controlled trial of patients admitted for a scheduled cardiac surgery at the Clermont-Ferrand hospital. Patients meeting the study inclusion criteria will be allocated to either the control group that will receive pressure ulcer prevention standard care or the intervention group that will receive pressure ulcer prevention standard care plus have a Mepilex® Border dressing applied to their sacrum.

Subjects With Non-Healing Venous Leg Ulcers Treated With Standard Care Plus Cryopreserved Human Umbilical Cord (TTAX01)

It is hypothesized that application at 4-week intervals of the human umbilical cord tissue TTAX01 to the surface of a well debrided, nonhealing venous leg ulcer (VLU) will result in a high proportion of wounds showing complete healing within 12 weeks of initiating therapy. This open label pilot study provides a framework for a larger, controlled study. The purposes for conducting this study are to evaluate the functionality of the protocol and to obtain an estimate of product safety and efficacy when applied according to the protocol instructions, and measured according to the stated endpoints.

Relationship Between Baseline Burden of Disease and TDM in Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease which often follows a relapsing/remitting course. Anti-TNF therapies are proven to be effective in UC and studies indicate that having adequate drug levels correlate with improved patient outcomes. It is unknown, however, if a high burden of disease at baseline impacts drug utilization or loss. In this study, we investigate whether measures of high burden of disease (fecal calprotectin, bowel ultrasound, and colonoscopy) at baseline predicts low drug levels after standard anti-TNF induction therapy.
