Filter by:To explore the hypothesis that leg ulcers are associated with hypercoagulable states, the CLUE study will evaluate patients with connective tissue disease associated leg ulcers, to identify risk factors (especially hypercoagulability and immunologic characteristics), characterize pathogenesis, predict response to therapy, and assess the impact of lower extremity ulcers on quality of life.
The purpose of this study is to compare the VERSAJET™ device with conventional surgical procedures (performed with a scalpel) in the debridement (removal of unhealthy tissue) of lower limb ulcers. It is hypothesised that the time taken to debride lower limb ulcers will be quicker with the VERSAJET™ device than with conventional surgical procedures.
Bleeding peptic ulcers are one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality for hospital emergency admissions. The initial treatment is endoscopic therapy followed by intravenous omeprazole. However the optimal dosage of omeprazole is not known. We conducted this study to find out the optimal dosage in such clinical scenario.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy in maintaining remission of ulcerative colitis between a once daily (QD) Asacol regimen and a divided, twice daily (BID) Asacol dosing regimen.
The aim of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of SPD476 2.4 g/day given twice daily ([BID] ie 1.2 g/day BID) and SPD476 4.8g/day given QD compared to placebo in subjects with acute, mild to moderate ulcerative colitis.

Ulcerative colitis is a systemic disease we assume that extra intestinal involvement as we describein our study( Fireman Z, Osipov A, Kivity S, Kopelman Y, Sternberg A Fireman E: Assessment of pulmonary involvement in Crohn’s disease by induced sputum. Am J Gastroenterol 2000;95(30):730-734. )
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of golimumab administered subcutaneously (under the skin) injections in maintenance therapy.
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects (good and bad) of golimumab (CNTO 148) therapy in participants with ulcerative colitis (UC).
The objective of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of treatment with balsalazide disodium tablets in subjects who are in remission from ulcerative colitis or who have mildly to moderately active UC.
